1-severe corrosion of fuel tank straps. The rear strap is completely rusted through, resulting in the tank being held up by the front strap. The skid plate is keeping the tank from falling down. Luckily I noticed this while checking the air pressure in my tires. I will be getting new straps this week to do the repair myself. I will keep the old straps. 2- brake pressure switch on master cylinder leaks. This causes the cruise control to be inoperative. Brake fluid leaks out onto the wiring. This vehicle has had the repair for the recall on the wiring harness. I believe that the leaking brake pressure switch also creates a fire hazard as it could potentially cause a short in the wiring. I will also obtain and replace this part.

1999 Ford F150 4wheel drive the front gas tank strap became detached from the mount. The strap dragged the ground. I am happy it did not cause any other damage. The strap mount is totally rusted through and I do not know how or if it can be repaired. The truck only has 93K miles on it.

Blew out sparkplugs and broke bracket on the side of coil packs. Don't like paying $85 a pop for Ford's poor design. Plus the healy coils or maybe that's the motive. This happened three different times.

My 1999 F150 has a crack forming on the bottom rear corner of the drivers side window of the drivers door at 32000 I brought this to the attention of the dealer I bought the truck from and they would not fix it because it was out of warranty because of year. The dealer said they were fixing this problem on newer vehicles then mine but Ford complaint said they never heard of such a thing and would not fix it also. I have seen this on other trucks so I know I am not alone. On a different date I had a problem with the gasket sinking it channel between the window frame and body of truck they would not fix this because it was not a Ford part it was made for Ford and came on the truck from the factory but dosen't carry a warranty.

Major water leak around rear window. Almost everyone you talk to with this truck style (over several model years) has this problem. Ford has known for years about it. Why are they not required to fix it?

My 1999 Ford F150 extended cab shakes when driving at speeds between 40-45 mph and occassionally at speeds greater then 80 mph. Front and rear alignment nor tire balance/rotation corrects problem. Another owner related this is due to a defect in the chassis due to design problems with extended cab. Is their a corrective action for this vibration?

Ford F-150 2wd, super cab, 8 ft bed. Water is leaking from the head liner in the right rear of vehicle directly above fixed panel of sliding rear window assembly. I spoke to Ford customer service about the problem 2 months ago and they made it sound like it was the first time they had heard about it. I took the truck in to the dealer where I purchased it and they have indicated that the entire rear window assembly needs to be replace, at my expense. Search of your service bulletin section resulted in identification of bulletin #01111 posted Jan. 22, 2001 listed the following. "some vehicles may exhibit a water leak around the rear (sliding) window.. how do I get Ford to do the responsible thing and make this repair.
