problem #3

Sep 012009

F-150 XLT V8 4.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

A very capable garage replaced the original heater core and radiator and they replaced number 2 failure at no cost to me.The 3rd heater core is leaking so badly that the truck is not drivable. The garage mentioned above has shown me the blackened area where the electrolisis is coming from the inside of the heater core thru to the outside and making the holes which causes a leak or in thes case -a gush. They have tried using grounding straps on the cores- to no avail.
