The contact owns a 2000 Ford F-150. While driving 35 mph, the contact rear ended the vehicle ahead of her, which caused a minor pile up. The passenger's head went through the rear glass. Both the contact and passenger were transported to the hospital by ambulance. A police report was filed. The body of the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the rear seats were defective because they did not protect the occupant's heads. The current mileage was 79,000 and failure mileage was 68,000.

Both seats don't lock into place sometimes leaving the seat to spring back, , and move forward freely.

Driver's seat frame twisted. Dealer has replaced frame. Consumer states that new frame does not appear to be aligned properly, it appears to be angled to the left, dealer could not confirm if the seat is properly aligned.

The driver seat is definitely the very worst quality seat I have seen in a vehicle. There is not enough support to keep you from feeling as though you will fall out the door. When driving straight, the lack of support on the outer left side gives a feeling that one is leaning or tilting to the left and your are actually not sitting level. When you turn right, your weight pushes on the soft foam more giving a worse sensation that you are tilting. When exiting the truck, as you press on the seat to get out, you can feel the plastic trim at the seat base through the soft foam. Unless you are very careful in driving, the softness is so bad that it interferes with your ability to stay firmly seated and maintain control during sharp turns.
