This problem started on 1997 Ford f-150 models. It took Ford 2 years to come up with a fix and in the meantime they replaced doors. The 2000 model year was supposed to have the updated doors that would not crack. My truck is now 17 years old, and I must replace the door due to the metal being so thin it cannot be welded. It can only be glued.
