bolt loosened/fell out of steering column park engage fail

I was delivering fliers for my business. Dropped one. Put the truck in park on a hill. Opened the door to retrieve the flier. The truck rolled backward with the door open. The door caught on the most heavy duty mail box ever created. Bent the door backward. Damaged the door and front panel severely. Door opens only 1/3 of the way and springs open every time someone pulls the handle. Finally got a quote to repair it: $3,239.00.

I did not realize the problem until a week or so later when a bolt in the steering column fell out and onto the floor. The steering wheel loosened and the truck would not shift into gear. I reinstalled the bolt myself. Loosened several more times before I finally managed to tighten it enough for it to remain in place.
