Manual clutch malfunctioned including remaining disengaged (in gear) while pedal was depressed to the floor. Slave cylinder failed and leaked fluid necessitating replacement. Occurred at <45000 miles and is identical to the fail mechanism exhibited on neighbors 2001 F150 4.6 at 39000 miles.

The contact stated while driving the clutch would not disengage. He took the vehicle to a certified repair shop for diagnosis. The engine lost a cylinder and fluid leaked out into the engine. The vehicle is being repaired at the contact's expense.

Transmission problems: Clutch did not disengage properly. Driver had to change gears repeatedly in order to shift. This produced dangerous driving problems. Dealer replaced the master cylinder relay at consumer's expense.
