This has been a great truck--until this month. We had some issues with slipping while driving, thought it was transmission, but a small plastic piece was found to be issue with that, no big deal.

On July 1, 2016 the truck was running while I ran errands and had A/C on because dogs were with me. It had been sitting about 30 minutes while I got a lawnmower. As I drove down the road, I suddenly lost power. Truck was running really rough, then it died. I let it sit, then restarted, got about 100 feet and it died again. I managed to get out of traffic into a driveway, and let it sit, then restarted, pretty much floored it and got it back to my other vehicle, which just happened to be in town.

Truck ran like a dream for a week. Then my husband was in town running errands and it completely lost power and died. He let it sit and we went back in that evening, drove it to the mechanic and explained to them what happened. Mechanic cleared all error codes-P0171 Bank 1 combustion too lean and P0442 EV AP control system small leak. He replaced the air intake tube and replaced vacuum lines for $168.00 and truck behaved perfectly while at his shop and through several test drives. It was great for a week after this but still died once more while in town. I read online about cleaning the IAC valve--Ignition Air Control and we found it was dirty. We cleaned it, and truck was good about a week. My husband then replaced the IAC valve with a new one since old one looked chipped up inside. Truck was good until Friday July 22nd when it died as he came back from town. It then ran a bit then completely died that afternoon when he hauled some calves home. It took it an hour to restart and then it only stayed running about 7 minutes so he could get home. When we start it there is normally no issue but this morning it revved up and stayed at high RPM when I put it in park. I stomped the gas and it did not reduce the RPMs. That is a new issue that has not happened before.
