After 7 and a half years, on a very hot late September 09 day, the driver's side window died in the down position. After sitting over a cool night, it worked in the morning. Next very hot day was 1 week of November. Before I could take it to my mechanic, we had a very cool night. The window rolled up in the morning. Weather remained cool/cold for 7 months and window worked fine. Had a heat wave last week of April 2010. Window died in the down position. Took it to my mechanic. I told them motor worked fine and explained the hot/cold weather thing. They replaced the motor anyway - worked for 65 days of reasonably cool weather ( less than 90 degrees), then died on the first really hot day in June- . Again, after 1st cool night - driver's side window worked. Next really bad heat wave - window died in the down position. No cool weather in sight for months - went back to mechanic and explained the whole thing again. He replaced the motor again. It worked for 6 days (weather was hot). Boom - 92 degree weather - window died in the down position. I am taking it back. Another web site mentions a "thermal circuit breaker in fuse box" or possible short. Any Ideas? Looks like thousands of folks are having a variety of nightmares with F 150 windows. The 2004 and newer models apparently are even worse.

Went to put up passenger side window and nothing happened. On top of that it is going to rain tonight. From what I have read I will be pulling apart the door panel to see what happened.

Passenger side window will not go up.
2002 F-150 Lariat crew cab 5.4L 202,000 miles. Left window down about 1 inch due to heat here in AZ. In the morning I went to put it up and it would not go up. However it would go down. No grinding noise no clicking, did not drop, just would not go up. I pull and pushed but the window would not budge.
This is the first thing that has ever gone wrong with my Ford F150 since I purchased it new in 2002 except I replaced the #8 spark plug about 5 years ago and my driver’s side seat belt will not stay locked all the time which started about 9 years ago. Other than that it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned.
Now (anyone) what are my options for my window issue? Thank you in advance for your help.
