F-150 XLT 4.6L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,000 miles

Reporting this concern solely to begin a "Paper History Trail". After researching the Triton V8 I found that there are a number of miss-fires that begin and then end up with one of the spark plugs being blown out of the head which results in huge repairs ranging from $1,500.00 to $3,500.00. If this occurs I need to take action.

F-150 Lariat 5.4L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

This seems to be a very significant problem on the Ford engines. I've had 5 of the 8 ignition coil packs replaced and the vehicle hasn't even hit 80k miles yet.
