Engine failure. Fail safe mode light comes on, and the vehicle loses power. Has been trying to get it fixed for a year. Dealer said they are trying to find what the problem is, but cannot find cause of the problem. Manufacturer will not contact caller back a, nd will not offer any help. Computer parts and electrical parts have been replaced and nothing has helped.

Without warning the car dies while driving. At a stop light it died, and consumer could not get it started. Pushed it to the side of the road, and after 15 minutes it started. They didn't know when it was going to happen, and it happens intermittently. Dealer replaced the starter, and did something on the computer. Manufacturer did not offer any help.

The consumer's 2004 Ford F150 experienced sudden acceleration which resulted in an accident. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who ran a diagnostic test. The test indicated 4 trouble codes (camshaft position sensor, PCM processor fault, throttle actuator control system which forced shutdown and an internal control module software incompatibility).

2004 F150/5.4 engine quits at low speed. Completely random, may do it several time in one day and than not again for several weeks. I have been involved in several close calls when the vehicle quit at intersections and railroad tracks. Since no odbc codes are ever set, dealer can't seem to find the problem.
