95,000 miles and change and the motor ejects the passenger side spark plug on the way home from work. Tomorrow I get the experience of having the local Ford and independent repair shops put the screws to me regarding the repair bill. In my younger years I wouldn't hesitate to jump under the hood but I bought the truck new and have religiously maintained to avoid playing car mechanic. I ain't happy.

Passenger side, rear spark plug blow out of hole during weekend drive. Local mechanic had to drill and tap out hole to re-size . Ford has no recall and has not admitted design error with aluminum head and spark plug port being steel. My warranty has expired at 60k. Cost to replace head and new coils for each plug. $550+.

Never heard of this problem until I researched a bit on-line and realized that this is an epidemic for Ford trucks between 1999 and 2004. I feel violated that Ford will not even consider a fix or warranty solution. It seems to me that they are trying to sweep this under the rug. Being an independent contractor, I need reliable transportation for me and my tools. I have lost money and jobs over this issue.

Again! Within a month? A different plug this time but it begs the question: Are the other six going to blow up and when? I can not keep losing time, money and jobs. Not in this economy.... Time for a Toyota?

This is the second time this happened to our truck. The first time we had it repaired the second time we had it fixed up enough to trade it in. AND we will NEVER buy Ford again. as we called head office and they refused to admit there is a problem with the Aluminum head. BULL SH*T. thats twice it happened to us. So they lost a good customer. We will buy Toyota from now on. We just bought a 2009 tacoma and LOVE it, it took a little getting used to the smaller truck, but it is awsome we love it. and all I can say now is "PISS ON FORD." :) thanks for listening

This is a common problem with Ford F150 4.6 and 5.4 engines. Pulls the threads out of the head. There is no rhyme or reason for which cylinder it happens to, at any speed and at any time. It happened to me 400 miles from home at -25 degrees while traveling through the city.

Please join me I need everyone to picket Ford Dealerships on the same weekend day.
Sunday May 27th 2012. Email me at picketford@yahoo.com. Just tell me your initials of your name and which dealership you will picket at and the time like from 10 am to 12 pm
I can't believe that there is not a recall or a class action lawsuit against FORD.
Only having 72,000 miles on my vehicle with excellent maintenance records I am fit to be tied. I think everyone who has had this problem should pick a day real real soon and picket at every Ford Dealership. When they see that they are losing thousands of buyers because of the picketing, maybe they will do something about this problem. I baby my truck and driving 55 MPH on the freeway to hear a knocking noise. Pull over and find out that the spark plug had ejected out of the head. I look it up on the internet and find out there thousands of complaints with the same issue. I swear to God I am going to picket Ford dealerships. I wish there was an attorney that would open a class action lawsuit.
Please picket Ford. Anyone willing? email me at picketford@yahoo.com again please help me picket Ford Dealerships just email me at picketford@yahoo.com.
