Complete frame under trunk is rusted to where the frame is getting ready to break in half I have looked at several other of the same make and model and they have the same similar problems so I'm not as bad as others but 90% of them are not safe to drive I live in the area there's not a lot of salt nore sand if this was a problem with just my vehicle I would understand but since it is a problem with a lot of these trucks something needs to be done buy Ford manufactures.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle's frame was corroded, which caused the transmission line to become defective. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the transmission line was replaced. The contact was informed by the mechanic that, due to the corrosion, other parts of the vehicle could become defective. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

1. brake dot 3 is running out after several months. When I apply the brakes, the vehicle keeps going. In order to keep the vehicle running, I must push down the brake very hard to stop the vehicle. I have to constantly refill the oil tank. 2. when driving on the highway and the speed reaches at around 45-65 mph, the vehicle automatically loses power and hit at 3-5 mph before stopping. After I completely turn off and reset the battery, the vehicle starts normal again. The vehicle happened from 2009 to current time, but the odb scan does not detect any code or errors.

In 2010, the transmission fluid spilled and the gasket, filters, and spark plugs were replaced; however, the repair did not correct the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle did not accelerate over 40 mph and vibrated. The contact also stated that when the vehicle was driven up hill with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle decelerated. In addition, the check engine and transmission fault indicators illuminated. The manufacturer provided the contact with case number: N24150780-F193G8. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 84,000.

Transmission clunks. Truck stalls in traffic because of throttle body problems. It has been an on going problem over the past several years.

My 2005 F150 has an electronic switch to engage the 4 wheel drive. It has stopped working all together. I've researched the problem and have discovered that this is a common problem for this model from 2004 on up. I nearly crashed while driving after a snow storm due to the 4 wheel drive being inactive.

The vehicle was taken to bill knight Ford of stillwater (4405 w 6th ave, stillwater, ok 74074, 405-372-7144) and the computer system was updated; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

My 2005 Ford F150 truck has had so many problems & some replace twice & im over it im about to have a heart attack now it sounds like my aculator again with the sound of metal scraping on the ground and when I switch it to 44 the sounds stops.but if its not in 44 the sound stays and it is loud ! I have spent so much get my truck fixed and what upsets me is I take care of my truck change oil spark plugs everything since purchased in 2005 brand new and im over it something needs to done with all these parts defected and it will continue until something is done.

Cpsc;2005 Ford F-150 transmission and motor went out at 89446 miles. A diagnostic was performed. The consumer stated after the transmission was replaced, the vehicles performance was not indicative of having been at a repair shop. The consumer returned to the dealer and another diagnostic was performed. The consumer was then informed the engine needed to be replaced. It was also determined the initial repairs were completed with salvaged/used parts.

Truck was bought and I replaced all spark plugs and even had to replace a clinoid because was told that was the problem. Its not... there is a ball valve in the transmission that keeps the truck from building enough pressure to be able to shift which throws a code and says misfire on 6 been replaced twice now so clearly not the problem. This is a major issue.. truck feels as if fixing to fie then check engine light will come on start flashing but throw no codes and you cant speed back up because it feels like your truck is about to die and you don't want to blow your motor.

!. vacuum advance control for four wheel drive gets wet, looses pressure and front wheels engage slightly, causing wheel hub damage. 2. steering becomes hard, especially in cold weather. Hard to inspect steering shaft until it is disconnected from steering rack. Common problem with mid to late 2000's Ford crown vic. Police vehicles. Come on Ford, man up and make these problems a recall.

My truck has a known issue with the 5.4L's cam phasers. The truck makes a very loud noise and shakes. To repair this, it's around $3,000 and also I have a known issue with all 8 coils which had to be replaced for $1,200 and a known misfire. I do not understand why Ford motor is aware of the ongoing issues in this year truck and has not done anything about it. Also if the cam phasers are not replaced the engine will blow!

Rear end shaking while driving down road about 60mph. Getting off gas nor putting vehicle in neutral would not stop shaking. Had to come to complete stop before starting again to make vehicle drive properly.
