As of September 6, 2011, the recall still had not been performed.

The contact stated that the vehicle was included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number 11V107000 (air bag: Frontal: Driver side inflator module), but the manufacturer had not made the part available for two months. An authorized dealer was notified, and the contact was informed that the manufacturer was only sending five modules at time to each dealer to perform the repairs. The manufacturer was then notified, but the contact was not given a reason as to why only five of the parts were being made available at a time. The current mileage was 65,000. The contact state that six weeks had elapsed and he still had not been contacted with an estimated time in which he could have the vehicle repaired under recall. The failure and current mileage was 39,000. Updated 8/29/11 the consumer was informed the parts were not available for the recall and was placed on a waiting list. The consumer stated it has been over three months. Updated 09/28/11 the consumer stated there was still no parts available. Updated 10/03/11

The dealer schedule an appointment but later stated to the contact that the parts were not available. The dealer stated they would call the contact when the parts were available. The contact was not notified regarding the part availability. The contact called the manufacturer regarding the recall and they also stated the parts were not available and did not provide any indication on when the parts would be available. The contact stated the vehicle was unsafe to drive due to the recall remedy repair not being performed. The failure mileage was 18,000. Updated 07/21/11 the consumer stated the deler replaced the part. Updated 07/28/11
