The contact owns a 2006 Ford F150. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign id number 08V208000 (service brakes, hydraulic:power assist:vacuum:hoses, lines/piping, and fittings) in June of 2008. He consulted several dealers when attempting to have the repair performed, and all of them stated that the parts were unavailable. The contact was concerned that he could be seriously injured in the event of a crash. The current mileage was approximately 22,000 and failure mileage was approximately 500.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-150. While depressing the brake pedal, the contact's foot simultaneously depressed the accelerator pedal. As a result, the vehicle struck the front end of another vehicle. There were no injuries. The contact did not notice any differences in the vehicle prior to the failure. The speed was unknown. The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-150. While driving 50 mph, the brake pedal extended to the floorboard when he depressed the brake pedal. The dealer stated that the master cylinder caused the failure. The dealer replaced the master cylinder; however, the failure continued to occur. The dealer inspected the vehicle on two occasions but was unable to diagnose the failure. As of May 16, 2008, the deale had not repaired the vehicle. The failure mileage was 21,000 and current mileage was 23,737. Updated 06/16/08

While driving 40mph power brakes failed without warning. I was able to stop & pull over with combination of E brake and coasting. Fortunately this happened on a side street with only light traffic. The vehicle was towed to Ford dealer who determined that a vacuum boost hose was detached from the manifold. The dealer replaced the hose and added a clamp to the connection.

Acceleration when applying the brakes. This has occurred several time the most recent being today. I almost ran into a building pulling into a parking space. The time before was at a red light, no one was in front of me and the time before that I was hauling an antique car on a trailer with trailer brakes that actually kept me from hitting anyone when the truck brakes caused an acceleration. I am afraid to drive this truck. I also had a problem with the fuel pump pouring fuel out of the truck onto the exhaust system.

While pulling into a parking spot at a local gas station(5 - 8 mph), I applied the brake to stop and it went all the way to the floor. The truck jumped the sidewalk and crashed into the building. After picking the truck up the next day, the brakes worked fine and everybody thinks I'm nuts! currently having truck accessed by different sources.

: the contact stated while applying brake pressure at 5 mph in a parking lot, the brake pedal extended all the way to the floor board, and there was an increased stopping distance which resulted in a rear end collision. No injuries were sustained; the contact was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle sustained minor damage. The police were not alerted. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem.

There were no injuries, but both vehicles sustained minor damage. The dealership determined this was how the vehicle was manufactured.

On 15 June 2006, my wife was involved in a accident while operating a 2006 Ford F150. A vehicle stopped in front of her she pressed the brakes and the vehicle did not responded to her braking action. When I arrived at the scene of the accident, I pressed the brakes and they went to the floor of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to woody andersen Ford in huntsville, Alabama and the service manager verified that the brakes indeed went to the floor. We waited a week for a Ford engineer to verify the problems and he stated that when he drove the vehicle it was okay at that time. These brakes failed my wife at 5 miles an hour and caused her to have an accident. No action has been taken to resolve this issue.

2006 F150 fx 4 -4X4 super cab 5.4 L. I traded the exact same truck in an 04 model year for this 2006. Ford has refused to fix ( for 3 model years ) : drive train vibration, drive train howl/whine. The 04 was in the shop 6 times with no fix. My 06 in the dealership now. I haven't made the first payment or the first oil change. Problems not present on test drive. Started at 500 miles. Other problems include : brake pedal is mush. It never firms up. It will go to the floor. Doors wont shut without slamming. Super cab doors wont shut tight without pushing top in. My best fuel economy is 13 mpg highway with the cruise on. The "new" F150's are a disgrace to the Ford name. $ 38,000 P.O.S. !! my last Ford.
