- on December 20, 2006, the contact received a call from the police department stating his 1995 Ford F150 and the car port were on fire at his residence. The vehicle caught fire under the hood. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked for two months. A witness stated that the vehicle sounded as if it were trying to start on its own. The witness looked into the vehicle and confirmed that no one was in it and called 911. There were no injuries. The vehicle was destroyed. There were no recent repairs to the vehicle. The vehicle had approximately 210,000 miles on it. The fire department stated the cause of the fire to be a faulty speed control deactivation switch. The contact has pictures, a fire department report and the vehicle stored. Updated 03/19/07.
