Paint on the hood started bubbling within the first year. I got it repainted only to have the same spot bubble again a couple years later. Now at 8 years old the paint is bubbled, peeling, body is rusting (I have rust proofing but warranty doesn't cover????) Looks like crap.

I saw this same issue on a neighbor's Mustang. I had no problems until blisters appeared and then the clear coat shred off. It is starting with a small area but growing.

I have contacted Ford Motor about the rust coming from the inside of the rear wheels so many times and all I get is this is: the first time we heard of this. We know that this is b.s. When the trucks gets near seven yrs old the rust starts to poke its way making big bubbles in the paint. I wax my truck more than I have to. I like to kept it looking new. The rust hole gets to where I cut my fingers waxing my truck. It might be time to contact a attorney. The dealer were I bought the truck told me the only way to fix it is to replace the side of the box, at my expense, not Fords. So it tells me Ford knows there is a problem, so fix it.

Major corrosion problem on many Ford Pickups due to Aluminum Hood being preped incorrectly.

Dissimilar metal probably main issue.

Dealer refuses to correct problem which is getting worse every year.

front emblem peeling

This was my first new vehicle, it's REALLY making it hard to be a Ford fan. Only had the truck about a year before the front Ford emblem started bubbling under clear coat. Wasn't long after that when it blistered most of the clear coat away. Then finally the blue was about gone. Said something to dealer about it, "isn't under warranty". So this past year a work truck came in with smashed bed to be replaced, had a good emblem on tailgate. Thanks to a generous customer (not Ford ) the front of my truck looks good for now. Will get a tube grille without emblem cut out.

At about 60,000 miles I came home, washed the truck, and noticed that the paint was coming off the door at the bottom. I also noticed that the paint was coming off the truck around the fuel tank door.

I went to see if I could get it fixed and the body shop guy told me Ford will not cover this because it is not a defect. If it had a hole in it they would fix it. I called Ford and they told me it is not covered and that they are sorry. I have seen so many of these and it clearly is a FORD DEFECT. I wrote to the better business bereau and complained, I will have to see where this gets me. PLEASE anyone else have this problem please write a complaint. This will help in getting this taken care of for all of us. Ford said they did not have any other complaints.
