I took my truck to the Ford dealer ship and they told me it would take 3 or 4 day to fix's. They see this problem all the time and they know what need to be done.
Why do I have to pay to fix this and get a rental car ? Ford should be fixing it for free. They know why and how c it is happening. Because it was not treated correctly when it was made. The man at the dealer ship said he see it all the time.
I think it should be fix for free. I was told it could cost as much as a $1,000.00 to fix.
Does not seem like they are standing behind there product. I have been buying Ford truck new every 8 -10 years of my life. Very have I HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE.
I hope this case against FORD is judged on very soon. Please. I would like to get my truck fixed.

I cannot believe I spent $30,000+,to have this truck have any rot at all, with only 55,000 miles on it. Garage kept, probably 20 some odd coats of wax on it.....I take such good care of my vehicles, it's ridiculously insane.
Then after writing to corporate head quarters, they just don't even reply....really 6 years old, and I have body rot???? REALLY????....and to have my son tell me, you should have bought a Silverado, which he did, now I'm sorry. Went to many body guys, and they all told me the same thing, rotting from the inside out, and it is a common problem for Ford that they are aware of...Well efff me! Although I like the ride, it won't help me when the fenders rot off....well, I guess it is time to start looking at Chevys, and tell everyone I know about my problem, starting with my Union brothers and sisters over 50,000 strong just in NJ alone, remember one bad phone call from one person can turn into 10 other people with same bad information on Ford turns into 20 and so on and so on....thought I was going to take this truck into my retirement years, what a joke.......
Sincerely Disappointed...

I have a 2008 F150 Super Crew and the paint started to crack last year around the passenger door handle. I had it fixed at my expense thinking that it was just part of keeping the truck looking good. Two weeks later a patch about three square inches peeled off under the gas cap. Silver metal underneath, no rust. I took it to the dealer and he essentially said "tough".
I called Ford Customer Service and they told me to keep my receipts for repair in case there was a recall but they couldn't do anything for me now. I went to get an estimate at a body shop and he pointed out a spot on the bottom of the driver's side door that I hadn't noticed before. He said that he sees this a lot on Ford trucks and told me not to put the money into it since I will be chasing these spots all around the truck for the rest of the time that I own it. His suggestion was to sell the truck. Great!

Paint is falling off the primer, had a decal put on the back window, when they removed the blue holding tape, it pulled off a big section from the door.
