The truck would not start after you went someplace and it was always hit or miss. Then it would take 30 or more minutes of waiting then it would. Took it to the dealer twice they had it for weeks could never replicate the issue wanted to replace the fuel pump 500 to 1000 dollars. took it to my mechanic diagnosed it and fixed it in a day.

My 2009 F 150 4x4 has 68,000. Wouldn't start after I got home, so I took ignition fuse out and put back in and it started. Yes, so I thought it jarred loose. The next day headed to town it stalled so I steered to side of road got it started and was good, picked up grandchildren got on interstate stalled again,steered over and got it going again got to the job and went to move my truck, it wouldn't start, so I got a jump start.

Headed 7 miles to next town and it stalled again, almost got hit cause no place to pull over on the country road, three kids screaming, truck in road and want start and hot outside pouring sweat, yes I was mad as hell!, a man came by to help. I went straight to the fuse box under the hood. The ignition fuse was burned in half. Had to pry the old burned one out, put battery cables back on and made it home. The next day wouldn't start, bought battery. don't know why it had melted but it was number 27 fuse, to scared to drive it very far to know if it is ok, it usually takes 30 minutes before it stalls out again. Cogswell Ford wanted $115 to plug it up and check it out. I told them that was ok, I'd take it O'Rileys, it's free to plug up and check. Frustrated!

First time, I was travel for my company, I was in In. just pulled from light going about 35 miles hr, just stop running, was able to coast off the highway, wouldn't start. so I waited about 10 mins, started up I continue to our vendor. was there for a few hours. when I start my truck up again didn't sound right. I thought I had bad gas,I was down a quarter of tank, the stalling happen again before I got the the filling station. I put 93 oct, thinking the higher maybe better this time. Once I filled my F150 started, spit a little tried again started up sound better, so I continue on my trip, I drove about 150 miles north to Notre Dame, I called a Ford dealer to take my to and have it checked out. they where very nice, couldn't find anything wrong.I felt better they checked my truck, but I had to drive to New York after my job was done there. that drive was 6 hrs, and I was very on easy, cause after New York I had to drive to Johnstown, PA, than back home Lorain, Ohio.I didn't have anymore problems, I kept my gas tank full wouldn't let it get below half tank, cause both times this happen I was below half a tank. So I drove my truck until 2013, never would let the tank get below half tank, cause if I did , truck would stall, and had a harder time starting, Ford Dealer couldn't fine the problem they said, maybe replace the tank, not under warranty any more, found a bought a tank, didn't work got worse. I bought a focus couldn't use my Truck like that anymore, still no one can find the problem they say they can't.
