As a mechanic for 30 years and recently switching back to Ford products from GM, I wonder how Ford stays in business. A bad ball joint at 30,000 miles is unacceptable. The kicker is my local Ford garage wanted to charge me 79.00 to check my alignment while my vehicle is under warranty. Now they can install the part and do the alignment for free.

I guess my opinion of Ford is that I will not recommend a Ford product to any of the 4500 customers I have.
