Timing chain broke and fell into engine, had to replace the engine. Are there any recalls for this or anywhere I can get help with the money for the repair.

I took my 3.5 eco boost, truck into the local ford dealer here in Rockingham NC. They have some sh*tty mechanics, not trained or something. tried to tell me my truck wasn't making enough vacuum and it was making 20" so I think that's enough. plus it has a vacuum pump motor and when its hooked up it pulls 40" so there was plenty of vacuum. But their mechanic says because my truck isn't making enough vacuum i need an engine. Oh and the vacuum pump wasn't working because of a single blown fuse, the only fuse to the pump, and they didn't know there was one until i told them. so anyway I drove my truck on a 600 mile trip no problems everything was fine. came home the next morning when I get in it, the engine timing chain rattles and then the engine dies. and then i tried to restart it and its like there is not any compression, none. so now i am pulling the front cover off the engine and checking the timing and seeing if it jumped. but it seems ford must have done something to cause this because it was running fine. so if anyone had this issue please let me know.

Classic Ford engine failure while rolling in 50 mph traffic. Happened several times in 10 minutes. Pulled off roadway and sat for a few seconds then resumed driving normally untlil next failure. Stopped at dealer and made appointment. Results: dealer did 60,000 mile tuneup. $500. Not sure what they did to throttle body. Problem resumed after I got truck back. Dealer said try using highest octane gas. Have not had problem again...yet!
Update from Mar 12, 2019: Embarrassed. Dealer installed car "flight recorder". Found that problem occurred when gas and brake had pressure on them simultaneously. This activates fuel cut off...brake takes precedence. Asked if I rode brake with my left foot and I said absolutely not. Turns out the orthopedic brace I wear on right foot was impinging on the brake pedal. All I have to do is ensure right foot is as far as possible away from brake. Problem solved. I wonder how many other similar complaints are for the same reason?
