The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150 The contact stated while stopped at a stop sign, the contact took his foot off the brake pedal and the vehicle started to accelerate. The vehicle was turned off and restarted and the contact was able to safely drive the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,415.

The contact was unable to disengage the cruise control while depressing the brake pedal or depressing the off switch. The contact was able to switch the ignition key to the off position to slow the vehicle. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The contact stated that the failure recurred seven times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
