I bought this truck, used with 22K miles from a Ford dealer in Lafayette, Indiana. This vehicle has had SRS problems SEVEN times. First two errors occurred after 50K miles but still in warranty. So far the local Ford dealer has repaired the issue each time. Front seat belts have been replaced and a wiring harness on right rear seat has been replaced. It was repaired in August (6th time). The fix lasted 3000 miles. It have reported this to Ford customer service. They referred me back to dealer. This is the only problem I have had with this truck other than routine maintenance as suggested by dealer.

Notation is for the initial problem. It has continued for the next 60000 miles. I've had it in 6 times. So far, the cost has been around $600. Now, they want to replace another wiring harness and passenger restraint module. That total cost will be about $1500. In the meantime, my wife is afraid to ride in the truck because of safety concerns. When the seat belt light is on the air bags do not work. Called Ford customer service and they are looking into it.

Update from Jul 30, 2017: No response from Ford. Had dealer replace wiring from computer to rider's side seat belt retractor, based on their recommendation. This seemed to have resolved the problem. Now, all the wiring and the retractor have been replaced. Cost was about $500 (most of which was labor). It only took 8 shop visits to get this done.

The air bag warning light has been coming on periodically for the past 6 months. When you shut off and restart the truck the light stays off for about 3 weeks to a month where it comes on again. I finally got the local Ford dealership to see the truck with the light on and they want me to make an appointment to bring it back in so they can diagnose the problem.

Had the truck in because the airbag warning light keeps coming on. This being a safety issue was concerning to have corrected asap. Scheduled an appointment at Bob Davidson Ford and they said they corrected the problem. On the way home from that appointment, the light came on again. Nice job guys. We will be going in for the Second time...
