problem #2

Mar 312016

F-150 XT 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 51,348 miles

This is light use truck. I looked up the cost of parts alone based on the service record, $1136.35. I'm shocked that there have been so many reports by others about this particular failure. Why would the rear differential go out after only 51,000 miles? Incredible. Glad I bought the extended warranty. I'm wondering now if it's wise to keep this truck. I'm sad. I like truck overall, but what wrong with Ford?

Ok, Ford/GM/Chrysler have been wondering WHY they've been losing market share for years, and have been appealing to us to "BUY AMERICAN!!!"

Why, then, are they asking me to spend $25K+ on a new truck and INSISTING on RAMMING an automatic transmission down my throat???!!

I DO NOT WANT AN AUTOMATIC!!! I LIKE shifting gears, I like the simplicity and lower cost of a stick, but neither Ford, GM, or Chrysler offers a stick on a full size pickup.

I realize that most Americans prefer an automatic, and that's fine. But I DO NOT, and I want to buy a stick. No such luck.

It appears that US automakers are making me conform to the lemming-like will of the masses to select a drive train that separates me from the driving experience, rather than connecting me with it.

If can find another choice, I will take it.

Thanks...
