Lost all ability to brake while driving 50 mph on state highway. Due to fortunate circumstances and favorable traffic conditions, no injuries were suffered. Ford dealer diagnosed the problem as a master cylinder leak that is similar to a current recall for this year, make, and model. Despite having an identical master cylinder failure of an active recall, my VIN number was not listed on the Ford recalls list for this issue.

Brakes failed. Was driving to work when I need to stop for red light and pedal went to the floor and I almost went thru the intersection on highway route 100. This was do to the master cylinder and brake booster frailer. I know there is a recall for this but my model and VIN # is not included. It has since been repaired by the dealer at a cost to me and not under any recall like the other models

"takata recall" my Ford F150 truck 2013 was purchased in 2014 brand new. In 2017 January I had the sparks plugs changed and now again in April 2017 my mechanic has said that the sparks plug needs to be changed. I believe and gathering from what my mechanics is saying there is a problem with the coil? which is why the sparks plug in black for the second time. This all started from a problem with the brakes the tried flushing the breaks and same thing than they looked into the engine and changed the sparks plug (Jan) now in April same issue. Need help this is costing me money.

While driving down the highway, the vehicle flashed service advance trac, down hill descent control fault, trailer brake module fail and a couple more codes. All electonics in vehicle went blank, including all controls/gauges. Before doing so, last code read, shift to park. Almost caused me to have an accident, because the power steering went out and nearly pulled me into another vehicle. The acceleration is bad too, feels like it is not firing all cylinders again. Have already taken in for a number of issues, including crankshaft sensor issues(was losing power to driveline); brakes locking up (have replaced the rotors and pads six times and last time I replaced both calibers as well; power steering has been replaced once before, front axles and bearings replaced. As well as, ac problems. When the first issues arose, I was told by service tech at dealership I needed a new engine, (later he completely denied telling me this) instead they fixed some things and gave it back to me. Problems have continued since, like I said have taken it in at least 6 times to a dealer and once to an independent mechanic. At first the problems were covered by warrenty, now they are not, there is only 78,000miles on the truck and has been in shop at least 6 times and is only 4 yrs old. Not sure what to do, as the problems resemble recall issues, but dealership says they aren't part of any recalls. Concerned for my safety on the road.

The right front break keeps over heating even after repeated replacement of calipers rotors and pads. The system locked up and caused heat damage to the flexible line connecting the metal line to caliper and all break components. This ocurred less than 5000 miles after complete break replacement on all tires. The mechanic stated that the driver front still had 99% of its pad. After replacing all components it did it again in less than 100 miles. The shop replaced the caliper and pads saying that it must have been a bad caliper but new one already to hot to touch after only 50 miles. Their \must be a pressure problem as the driver side is cool to the touch and passenger side you can feel the heat at hood level. The truck was made 2-13 dearborn plant. I have noticed a excessive wear on this side of the vehicle since I have owner it. Bought it new. Problem occurred on the highway

1st occurrence I was driving in town, moderate traffic and I depressed the brake pedal and it was rock solid and I could barely slow the vehicle with both feet pressing as hard as I could and the brake warning lights came on. I turned the vehicle off then when I restarted several minutes later, the issue went away. A couple of days later, I received the brake booster recall notice and took the vehicle in for repair at the local dealer. A couple of weeks after the booster recall repair I had the same issue on a rural road nearly causing an accident. I took the truck to the dealer immediately with all of the warning light illuminated and issue still occurring. The Ford dealer said it needed the vacuum pump replaced so I told them to go ahead, they charged approximately $360 for the repair. Yesterday, after turning off of a rural road to a more developed shopping area, I lost braking function with the same symptoms as previously described at a traffic light and had to use the parking brake to decelerate. I again parked the vehicle, turned off the ignition and after about 30 minutes, the brakes were working again.I have made an appointment with the dealer to have this diagnosed again in 2 days. Thank goodness my this hasn't occurred while towing my boat. The issue has occurred in both city and highway driving and always while the vehicle is in motion. Only once did the brake warning lights come on before loss of braking. The issue did not occur while turning.

Two days after purchasing this two year old used limited edition F150 the power brake assist failed; weather condition was rain. Returned it to dealership who did nothing as they could not duplicate the problem. This has happened several times since purchasing the truck, and reported to the dealership, and is a major concern to me as I tow a 26' travel trailer with it. Rate of speed when applying brakes was @15mph or less, and each time the roads were wet. Called Ford today and established case # cas-11141043 for this repeat condition after dealership said there were no recalls or tsbs and that it was uncertain if it's under warranty. Today was the most recent incident and the truck is back at the dealership now.

Bought truck with 45000 miles. Drove 7000 miles. Took it to dealership for oil change and they tell me front left caliper has locked up. Need to replace caliper and brake pads. Took truck to another place for second opinion. They figured out caliper pins not lubricated and that is why it was locking up. Had to replace rotors and brake pads. During test, master cylinder failed. Have to replace. Dealership refused to take any responsibility and fix problem. There is a recall for 2013 Ford F150's master cylinder.

Driving home from a camping trip with my son, I applied the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor at the same time the "low brake fluid" warning light came on. My truck did not stop, to prevent an accident, I had to slow my truck using my parking brake, an extremely dangerous procedure. I attempted to pump the brake pedal to possibly get more pressure in the brake lines, but that did not work. The vehicle became un-driveable and had to be towed. I examined the brake fluid reservoir and saw there was no fluid. The following day, I had my truck towed to the dealer and the following day after the service tech examined it, he said the brake fluid had leaked from the master cylinder to the brake booster. The dealer replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. Luckily, I was not going at highway speeds when this brake failure occurred or my son and I could have been seriously injured.
