Brakes squeak loud when in reverse.

Bought truck with 45000 miles. Drove 7000 miles. Took it to dealership for oil change and they tell me front left caliper has locked up. Need to replace caliper and brake pads. Took truck to another place for second opinion. They figured out caliper pins not lubricated and that is why it was locking up. Had to replace rotors and brake pads. During test, master cylinder failed. Have to replace. Dealership refused to take any responsibility and fix problem. There is a recall for 2013 Ford F150's master cylinder.

Loss of brakes while driving. Brakes stopped working. Pedal went all the way to the floor and nothing happened. Had to use emergency brake to stop. Towed car to Ford to get brakes fixed. Brake line ended up breaking and rotors were damaged.

Driving home from a camping trip with my son, I applied the brakes and the brake pedal went to the floor at the same time the "low brake fluid" warning light came on. My truck did not stop, to prevent an accident, I had to slow my truck using my parking brake, an extremely dangerous procedure. I attempted to pump the brake pedal to possibly get more pressure in the brake lines, but that did not work. The vehicle became un-driveable and had to be towed. I examined the brake fluid reservoir and saw there was no fluid. The following day, I had my truck towed to the dealer and the following day after the service tech examined it, he said the brake fluid had leaked from the master cylinder to the brake booster. The dealer replaced the master cylinder and brake booster. Luckily, I was not going at highway speeds when this brake failure occurred or my son and I could have been seriously injured.

I was in a parking lot backing out of my spot. With no warning light or any previous warning, my break system went out. Accelerating in reverse and breaks to the floor, my truck just continued to speed up. I slammed my car in park and the truck shut off. It was not until that moment that a warning light came on stating low brake fluid. I could have killed someone in this parking lot. Ford told me to drive it in and they would take a look at it. I had to tow it in myself and they claimed the warning light was on previous to me putting my car in reverse (which is wrong) but they replaced my break system for me (with the same failing system). I still have no faith in my breaks and my truck has never drove this poorly. Everything on it squeaks (probably from slamming it in park to avoid running people over). This needs to be a recall!!!

Without warning brake pedal went to floor absolutely no brakes and low brake fluid light came on. Had to drive into the ditch to keep from hitting another car and used emergency brake to guan lily stop before hitting a tree. There was no warning or anything just absolutely no brakes. Master cykinder was empty put 6 pints of fluid in it. That just disappeared. No leaks any where under the truck. Ford recalled 271000 for this very issue. But mine is not included in recall. We were coming home from football game in heavy traffic at midnight. Had to call wrecker to get us home.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While applying the brake pedal, a squeaking noise was present from all four wheels. The vehicle shook and vibrated. The vehicle also suddenly lost power and appeared to stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the brake pads and rotors, but the failure continued. The contact was informed that the stalling was due to a faulty brake booster. The dealer changed the spark plugs, but the failures continued. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 47,667.

2013 F150 V8 with 28000 miles has faulty front brakes. The outside pads appear to be working properly while the inside pads are not. The inside of the rotors are gouged and rusty while the outsides are in perfect shape. I see many other complaints about this same issue. The brakes have been grinding off and on since 15000 mile with normal use, and no off-road use.

Brake pads are severely deteriorating early in their lifespan. Front brake pads and rotors had to be replaced at 25,841 miles. Dealer said it was a caliber hanging up. Happened again at 39,425 miles. Rotor was gouged again on opposite side. Dealer stated caliper and rotors were not defective. Possible defective brake pads. Same failure on my wifes 2013 Ford Fusion SE.

I was driving my 2013 Ford F-150 down the highway at highway speed when I got an audible and visual warning on my dashboard telling me that my brake fluid was low. I cleared the message and noticed that a smaller red "brake indicator" light remained lit in the instrument panel. I tapped the brakes to make sure they were working. They were working. I immediately slowed down and proceeded rather cautiously exiting the highway in route to my local Ford dealership, which was not more than 1 mile from the end of the exit ramp. As I proceeded to the dealership I tested the brakes multiple times. Once I arrived at the dealership I parked the F-150 in a parkign spot. After checking in, the technician asked me to pull my truck into the service bay so that he could have a look at it. When I returned to the F-150 I cautiously backed out of the parking spot. As I began to brake so that I could shift the F-150 into drive, the brakes failed. The brake pedal went completely to the floor and there were no brakes. I quickly applied the emergency brake and avoided, by just inches, craching into the vehicles behind me. I put the vehicle in park and asked my teenage son to get the technician. The technician parked the F-150 back in a parking spot and I left it there for repairs.

The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Pulsating brake pedal, shimmy in the steering wheel at 27,000 miles. Replaced all 4 rotors and new brake pads. 39,000 miles now, brake pads need to be replaced.
