The problems have grown now to include 2) the digital temperature display is stuck at a constant 55'. 3) the front windshield defroster does not operate - at all. 4) the heater does not work - at all. Items 2-4 all occurred within the last 2 weeks and remain defective as of 4/11/17

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle restarted after one attempt, but the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rubber boot needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,000.

Rear window exploding after using defrost. After turning on rear window defroster, I heard a loud pop and found that the back window had shattered. After reading multiple instanes online of this happening, I beleive this should be a recall issue. Ford is aware of the issue and wants to do nothing about it. If a child was seated in the seat when this happened, there would be pieces of glass all over them.

While driving down the highway, the vehicle flashed service advance trac, down hill descent control fault, trailer brake module fail and a couple more codes. All electonics in vehicle went blank, including all controls/gauges. Before doing so, last code read, shift to park. Almost caused me to have an accident, because the power steering went out and nearly pulled me into another vehicle. The acceleration is bad too, feels like it is not firing all cylinders again. Have already taken in for a number of issues, including crankshaft sensor issues(was losing power to driveline); brakes locking up (have replaced the rotors and pads six times and last time I replaced both calibers as well; power steering has been replaced once before, front axles and bearings replaced. As well as, ac problems. When the first issues arose, I was told by service tech at dealership I needed a new engine, (later he completely denied telling me this) instead they fixed some things and gave it back to me. Problems have continued since, like I said have taken it in at least 6 times to a dealer and once to an independent mechanic. At first the problems were covered by warrenty, now they are not, there is only 78,000miles on the truck and has been in shop at least 6 times and is only 4 yrs old. Not sure what to do, as the problems resemble recall issues, but dealership says they aren't part of any recalls. Concerned for my safety on the road.

Had the engine studded and drop a cylinder, this is an ecoboost motor, the check engine light started to flash while running rough.it happened as I was passing a tractor trailer on the highway, as I got around him another trailer was coming on behind me, this is when it dropped a cylinder, the trailer almost ran over me.this is a problem with this truck I found out once I did some research, Ford needs to do something about this before someone gets hurt or killed.I called the dealer the first time this happened, as far as the studded and he said bad gas keep driving it(59,500 mls). It happened again at 61,381, took to dealer and they did a tsb 14-0017 reprogram, this worked for about a week then it happened again, took it to the dealer 61850mls, they couldn't get it to do it, I picked it up and 20 miles later it did it again, I got it on video this time so theres no questions, seems as though they know about it but are blowing it off, let me get outside warranty then take a look at it.let me tell you if it happens again, and my family gets hurt I will own Ford !!!! thanks for you time.

While driving down the street at roughly 40 mph, my truck all of a sudden just shut off. Lost power steering and power brakes. Once off to the side of the road I tried to restart the vehicle with no luck. It continued to crank but would not start. After waiting roughly 10 minutes I tried to start it one more time and it started. I was able to get the truck home where I was able to start investigating the problem. While searching the internet, I found "tsb 15-0137" from Ford as to the possible problem. To my amazement it was the exact same problem I had had. The fact that this is a known problem that causes the engine to shut down, a loss of power steering, and a loss of power brakes and it's not considered a recall, along with the fact that it could cause an electrical fire, is more than disturbing.

Model year 2009-2014 F150's have an issue with fuse 27 under the hood getting hot and melting. Fuse 27 is for the fuel pump relay. This causes complete loss of power while driving or a no start situation. Ford has issued a tsb for this issue, but in my mind it should be a recall. If the fuel pump stops, you lose all power no matter where you are, even if in heavy traffic on the interstate. This could also be a fire hazard if the wiring gets hot enough

The rear driver side rear window defrost caused the window to shatter. The only thing holding it together is the anti shatter coating on the window. This is part of the sliding rear window but one of the fixed none moving glass. Remote start was used and the temp was 24 deg F. the truck was in the driveway. Called Ford customer service and was given a case number.

In addition, once the vehicle restarted, the speedometer failed to work and the wrench warning sensor illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,000.

Just bought my truck and I auto started it with defrost set to auto. I got in and heard a loud pop only to see my window shattered. Nothing hit it. Took it to Ford and they wont cover it. I got online and saw hundreds of complaints of the same thing happening to a lot of people. This should be a safety recall. What if my kids were in my truck!

Remote started truck, warmed up approx. 10 min., entered truck, put in drive, moved approx. 50' from drive way, heard boom noise behind me, sounded like an aresol can blew up inside my tool box, discovered driver side rear window had exploded. I live in rural area with rock driveway, truck was level in a straight line. (12/18/2016). Had same issue with 2010 F-150, right side rear window, contacted local dealership, Ford ended up going 1/2 on repair. This time truck was traveling 70mph on interstate hwy. Only common denominators I could say are, both happened on cold days, both in the 30"S, both appeared to be caused by heated window defrost, heat was on during both glass shatterings. No personal injuries either time. Don't have date for this incident.

Used remote start to warm vehicle and the 1/3 of the rear glass (the driver's side) exploded and spidered. Research shows this is a common problem and likely due to faulty defroster. Ford doesn't part out the glass so the entire rear window needs to be replaced at a cost of over $650. My vehicle is garaged when at home and is in excellent condition with only 51400 miles. Since it is over 36000 miles, Ford won't do anything or assist with costs.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 mph, the instrumental panel caught on fire and flames emitted through the vents and melted the dash board on the front passenger side area. The contact sustained third degree burns to the right hand, the front seat passenger sustained smoke inhalation, and the rear passenger suffered emotional stress that all required medical attention. The vehicle was towed for further inspection. The manufacturer was not notified. The VIN was not available. The fire department was present. The failure mileage was not available. Updated 02/07/2017

A critical 20 amp fuse that gives power to the fuel relay which powers the fuel pump blew rendering my vehicle in operable. It would not start at all. This is a known issue to Ford Motor Company. They have a tsb also known as a technical service bulletin 15'0137. This "fix" merely relocates the fuse so that the known potential for failure does not melt the fuse housing. This does not solve the problem of why the fuse is blowing. This service is also not covered; as the dealer expects me to pay for the fix. The fuse housing on my truck is melted and chard from the failed fuse. To me this is a safety issue both for the potential of fire and losing propulsion due to the consequential loss of fuel to the engine.
