On vehicles equipped the R680 six speed transmission, the oil lines break off at the Quick Disconnect to the transmission oil cooler due to metal fatigue. When this happens, it causes 14 quarts of automatic transmission fluid to be pumped out onto the roadway from the front of the vehicle and on the tires and roadway. Several things can happen when this happens. 1. Loss of control resulting in a crash. 2. Vehicle stopping on roadway and unable to continue. 3. Roadway gets covered with oil may cause other vehicles to crash. 4. Enviornmental issues. I am reporting this because it is a problem that is common and should be addressed. The problem is well documented on the internet and YouTube. (Ford F150 Transmission Cooler Lines Breaking.) In my case the line snaped off when I was in my driveway. Very lucky.

My 2013 F150 had been acting strangely in showing a wrench on the LED screen and shutting off the electrical components on my dash. when this happens, it also sticks the transmission in between 3-5th gear. I am unable to shift down to 1st or 2nd gear, or up to 6th gear. After this happened a few times, it started to shift me in to Park and stop my wheels from turning. This happened to me 3 times while traveling down the highway at 80mph. All 3 times, it lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to screech my brand new tires and leave marks on the ground as if I had slammed on my brakes. It returns to normal and continues down the road.

Vehicle dash lights will come on while driving (wrench light specifically) and vehicle looses all power and drops to 0 RPM 0 Speed. This has happened multiple times and is extremely dangerous! After 4 months, we finally got our appointment at a Ford dealership where they diagnosed the lead frame needs to be replaced. Truck is a 2013 Ford F150 with 114,000 miles and there is a bulletin for this concern but the truck is out of warranty by age. The total bill is $1,769.54 and I contacted Ford to see if they would help for customer satisfaction and was told no.

Not sure if it is the powertrain or the intercooler for the turbos but when you press the gas to get on the highway or at high speed on the highway and press the gas the check engine light blinks and the vehichal goes into limp mode. Easy to recreate and doesnt seem like ford has a recall for it or even a fix. Every eco boost truck ever made seems to have this issue and if you get rear ended because of it, that sounds like a safety hazard to me. The only fix I have seen from the f150 forums to youtube or anywhere on google is to drill a 1/16 hole in the intercooler and let sludge and condensation drip all over the place. Does not sound like a great fix to me.Not even sure if the intercooler is the culprit or if it's the power train.Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

My 2013 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor experienced the failure condition described in TSB 15-0137 causing sudden and complete loss of power, with no previous warnings, due to the fuel pump relay fuse holder melting and the fuel pump abruptly shutting off. This occurred while my son was driving the vehicle and while he did an admirable job of getting the truck off to the shoulder with no power, he was nevertheless on a freeway onramp around a blind turn with a merge where drivers were attempting to accelerate to highway speed, thus placing him in a dangerous situation for the hour or so it took to get a tow to the Ford dealer for repair. This failure mode (and subsequent repair) has had a TSB for 9 years and clearly has the ability to cause a safety concern, as it did in this case. Had I known about this TSB, I would have implemented it proactively given the severity of the potential failure and the high likelihood for it causing a safety issue. There are already dozens of complaints on this exact topic in NHTSA's database. Please consider elevating this safety-related defect to a full recall.

Truck would crank but not start. Had towed to dealership and they found fuse 27 was melted. Was informed that this was a known design flaw. The fuse was relocated to slot 70. Car did not but could have caught fire causing catastrophic damage and injuries to myself or others.

Truck lost power, nearly resulting in accident on freeway while towing a trailer. Left me stranded. Fuel pump fuse was burned out which is a known issue that ford released a service bulletin for. This is a safety issue and should have been a recall.

While driving at highway speed 75mph our truck shut down with no warning. A wrench light came on with no other warnings. No check engine light no warning went from highway speed to limp mode zero power almost got rear-ended trying to make it off highway with no power. The problem is the throttle body has oil intrusion on the dry electrical side shorting out the motor with OIL! FORD could care less until someone gets killed they will deny any issues! I also have pictures of item full of oil! This is a no warning problem and ford cannot diagnose.

I was driving home from work and speedometer stoped working. My truck downshifts with no warning. I don't know if this is a transmission issue. Would not show my speed also the gas gauge is always at half way. The truck is a danger and sits parked in my yard due to it being so unsafe. Why won't Ford fix their broken vehicles?

Took my vehicle in for 145,000 mile check. Informed the gas pump fuse relocation was not performed, started to melt. For the fix I was asked to pay $336. This an electrical and fuel issue. It is a known issue by Ford. Should this not be a recall, if it is a safety concern?

For about 1 year, the fuel remaining has been drastically uncertain. The standard dash gauge; the secondary instrument indicating gallons / miles remaining till empty; and the tertiary warning light indicating low fuel, are totally unreliable. Example: -??5 miles to Empty-?? is actually approximately 15 gallons remaining. Very recent, the tertary warning light has stopped functioning altogether. This may indicate an electrical short or other fault in the fuel tank / system. With a capacity of about 35 gallons, I could easily miscalculate fuel used and end up stranded in the middle of nowhere or in a dangerous part of a city.

I was driving my truck in north Georgia while towing a trailer under 5000 lbs. The truck was in cruis control at 68 mph and the truck suddenly down shifted from 5th to 1st. I got the truck off the interstate at a reduced speed since it wouldn't shift up. When this happened an orange wrench light came on. When I stopped I turned the truck off and the light went away. We fueled up and got on the road. Shortly after the truck did the same thing with dropping to first gear and felt like it lost power steering. We pulled over and detached the trailer. I then got back on the road and after getting off the interstate and to slower roads the truck did the same thing. Every time the truck did this it reset the lights on the dash. The truck then sat for 5 days with out being driven. On my way home the check engine light came on. On Sunday June 12th the truck was dropped off at banner ford in Mandeville louisiana. The mechanic advised that while the truck acted like the lead frame recall issues they will not do anything unless I can prove the truck did this. The proof is they need to have a code show up. However, every time it did this the wrench light went away when the truck was restarted. I was told by Ford that when this happens I need to drive the truck straight to dealer without turning it off. Since the dealer said they couldn't do anything I called the 1 866 Ford number. The CAS # with Ford is attached to this. There has been poor communication with ford toe through this. The dealer told Ford that I picked the truck up earlier this week but in reality I picked it up today because the dealer called me yesterday. The ford apparently the dealer mechanic never communicated with Fords mechanic to resolve my issue and told them I got my truck sooner.

While driving on a 4 lane busy street, my truck stopped running. It would not re-start. It had a full tank of gas, would crank over but not start. I had it flat towed to my home. It was determined to not be getting gas. I found a tsb on the problem and I had to pay for the repair from Ford. Fuse #27 was too small to handle the current for the fuel pump relay. It was a design flaw and I believe Ford should pay for the fix. This could of been more dangerous if I was on the freeway. I called fomoco and was told it was my responsibility. Does Ford have any liability ?

Pulling camper onto interstate, accelerated to merge. Truck shook, engine light came on and truck barely made it safely to the next exit. Pepboys replaced #2 coil. Made it the rest of the trip. Unable to tow camper or accelerate normally, as truck shudders and slows significantly in residential and interstate speeds. Ecoboost seems to be an issue with this particular model truck and engine, so I have to take it to Ford. I've already had to replace the transmission around 66,000..

Electronics in the throttle body cause a computer fault while driving, which results in the engine (3.5 L twin turbo V-6) instantly going into limp mode, where the engine produces no power. This sudden loss of power is extremely dangerous. It happens with no warning. It can happen while attempting to accelerate through an intersection with oncoming traffic. It can happen at freeway speeds where the sudden deceleration can cause a collision, and where there is no place to pull over safely. This fault is very common in Ford F-150's and Ford automobiles. It has been a problem ignored by Ford and the NHTSA for years! it should be the object of a recall! I replaced the throttle body on my F-150 at 75,000 miles. Now, 25,000 miles later it needs to be replaced again! this is ridiculous, as well as expensive! please, make Ford stand behind their dangerously flawed product!

3rd time this has happened, pressed gas pedal to accelerate onto highway. Gas pedal was stuck in down position with engine revving. Held brake to slow it down, picked right back up when let off.
