The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the transmission was not shifting properly from first or second gear. The contact stated that the failure occurred at various speeds. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the output speed sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle inadvertently downshifted without warning. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and restarted the vehicle and drove to his residence. The failure reoccurred several days later. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure with a defective output shaft speed sensor that needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The mileage was unknown.
