I have a 2014 F150 Crew 4X4, and Tuesday morning on my way home from work my drivers door that I had closed flung open rounding a corner. I had been experiencing issues with the locks on the back doors not unlocking with remote or the lock button on the drivers door panel for about a month. It wasn't until Tuesday that I realized that the problem was more extensive than I originally thought.
After some research I learned that this is an ongoing issue with many ford models and thousands of cars/trucks are under recall. However the recall only covers year models 2015 -2017... I contacted Ford Motor Company directly and even though they are aware of the issues I was told they would not fix my truck because 2014 models are not covered under the recall.
So frustrating I now have a truck that is not safe to drive. I have contacted my local dealer and they wont tell me if the parts and labor are covered under warranty without having to pay $150 first. If it is covered it will be and additional $250 deductible after that with no estimated time on how long it will take to get parts or fix the issue.
