March 13th. I was driving on County Road 6, south of Park Rapids, Minnesota, and noticed smoke coming from my coat laying on the passenger seat, I removed the coat and found smoke/flames coming out of the passenger seat. I stopped the truck, ran around to the door of the passenger seat, turned off the seat warmer, and put the fire out. The seat warmer failed and is available for inspection. I have disconnected the seat warmer. March 15th. I brought the vehicle to North Country Ford service Manager and they did not know how to report it, didn't seem to think it was serious, and wanted me to pay $144 for them to look at it. March 16th called Ford Corporate. They started a case #CAS35878378 with Chelse David.

While driving at variable speeds, low and high, the passenger airbag off light comes on while an adult passenger is occupying the passenger front seat. Took to ford dealership 4 times but because the VIN does not match a recall had to pay 4 different diagnostic fees. Have videos as proof, does dealership said can-??t recreate issue even with video proof and did nothing to help. Opened 2 cases with Ford Corporate and nothing was done about it. Took vehicle in again and was adamant about this being a recall regardless of VIN matches or not, dealership adjusted weight sensor and told me this would be it and they would not address this issue or my truck anymore, Even though I had told them that my wife is the only passenger and she is pregnant carrying our child. Airbag light indicator illuminates stating the passenger light is off when an adult passenger is in the front passenger seat, has happened at multiple speed from 1 mph up to 50 mph. Could result in an injury or fatality if accident were to occur. Tried to upload the video but nhtsa only allows photos to upload can-??t upload the video.

While I am driving with my pregnant wife in the vehicle the airbag light will illuminate saying that the airbag is off, I have to pull over while driving to have her get out of the vehicle and get back in for the light to turn off. It's a normal street in a development or on the road driving. Different speeds with flat roads, some have bumps others are recently paved asphalt. Happens intermittently, over a dozen times at different speeds. My vehicles VIN doesn't fit the recall for the airbag issue that is already aware by Ford. Took vehicle to Ford dealership 4 times for this same issue, only thong done was a recalibration of the seat weight and exactly 2 weeks and 1 day later light came on again, unable to pull over I drove hoping to find a way to pull over for the safety of my wife and unborn child, the light turned off after 40 seconds of realizing it was on. A fully grown individual sitting in the seat weight 190+lbs has this happening to them. I have video footage and will try to attach it if possible. Most recently it happened today, 2/19/20 at 3:17pm.

Ford F-150 2014 had an electrical issue that caused it to go up in flames as I was driving it down the highway at about 60 miles an hour. I first smelled a burning odor, then I looked in my review mirror and saw smoke, then I started seeing flames in the back passenger corner of my back seats. By this time the truck was very smoky but I was able to safely pull aside to the shoulder of the highway. I made an attempt to open my driver's door, but it wouldn't open and I then broke the glass to open the door from inside out. As I exited my vehicle and walked around the back of the truck I grabbed a towel out the bed of the truck and got on the ground to try and stop the flames at that time I could see a wire burning between the bed and the passenger cab of the truck as it made loud popping noises, then the truck just burst into flames. I called 911 and they called the fire department, they came out on the scene and put the fire out.

Trying to retrieve something that had fallen under or beside the front drivers seat. Feeling aroung I sliced one of my fingers on my right hand after reaching only about 2-4" under the seat. I then inspected under both front seats and found knife sharp raw metal areas under both front seats, more under the drivers seat than the passanger seat. Does not appear to be unusual but just a normal happening in the construction process, which causes me much more concern. These areas are not hard to reach and could cause a very serious cut to anyone searching for lost items or a child searching for a lost toy.

Passenger airbag wire harness too short. When back of seat was moved forward wires broke. Ford dealer tried to say it was operator error, but infact there was no slack on wires to move with seat.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number:14V710000 (seats). The vehicle was taken to a local authorized dealer who refused to service the vehicle for the recall repair without an explanation. The contact called the manufacturer to be referred to another local dealer due to the unreasonable response from the first dealer. The contact had not experienced a failure. The manufacturer was notified of the safety concern.
