Our 2014 F150 has had a problem with brakes squealing since day 1 I've checked for recalls but our vehicle doesn't fit the criteria. We are told by a brakes company we do not have a brake problem. There are only 68000 miles on vehicle something has been causing the noise the entire time The reason we are only now checking is my husband just got hearing aids and now acknowledges the problem( wouldn't take my word for it) Have there been any other complaints regarding this?

Complete hydraulic brake failure (front and rear). While the vehicle was in motion, brakes were applied to stop the vehicle, but the brake peddle went completely to the floor without any braking operation. The vehicle had to be stopped with the parking brake. Upon further inspection, the brake fluid reservoir had fluid in it, but brake fluid was leaking out from the region of the master cylinder and booster. This vehicle was recalled for the same, or similar issues, and the recall repairs were performed by Ford in 2016, however, this issue occurred after the recall repairs.

Lost brakes at the same time the low Brake Fuid warning light came on. Was able to slow down by shifting the automatic transmission into a lower gear and using the Emergency Brake. The the fluid in the Brake Fluid reservoir was empty. I refilled the Brake Fluid reservoir up to the full line. It Brake warning light was off so I decided to try to make it back home. About 2 uses of the brakes and they failed completely again as I used the same method of stopping the truck as I did before when I found a safe place to get off the road. After having it towed to my house I pulled the Master Cylinder off the Brake Booster and the Booster was full of Brake Fluid. The rear seal of the Master Cylinder had completely failed. The issue is the same issue as on the other 2 recalls on 2014 Ford F150 Ecoboost and the other 2014 Ford F150 with the rear seal on the Brake Master Cylinder failing which allows the Brake Fluid to be pumped into the Brake Booster instead of the Brake Calipers. If they used the same Brake Master Cylinder on the 5.0 Liter F150 as they did on the recalled F150s, then they need to recall these also.

Brakes failed after I had driven and parked the truck. Brakes worked normal. Cranked up and went to drive away and brake warning light illuminates. Applied brakes and pedal goes to the floor. Opened hood, Master cylinder empty. It-??s looks like the Brake Master cylinder suddenly failed. Luckily it happened when I was starting off.

On 6-20-2021 the brakes failed on my 2014 Ford F150 3.5 V6 Ecoboost engine almost causing an accident. I found two recall notices but my VIN number was not listed. I took the vehicle to Ford in Livermore, CA and had it repaired. I then contacted Ford and I have a case number. I then went through all my maintenance history and found that there was actually a recall in 2017 with my VIN number. Apparently I did take the vehicle in and it was repaired. The recall was then deleted on my truck because it was repaired. Now in 2021 the same problem happened again. A master cylinder is a pretty simple part and should not fail this often. I will follow up on this with Ford.....

there are two safety recalls on 2014 Ford F150 brake master cylinder failures. My VIN is not on the recall list but I have the exact same problem as they have. My brakes failed and I almost ran into a cross street with traffic. I have the vehicle in the shop now and they say if I am not on their recall list they can not help. My vehicle is the same year, same model, same engine etc. so I am confused. This is definetely a safety concern. Will be interesting how many other vehicles like mine have the same problem.o

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the brakes failed. When the contact attempted to move the vehicle out of the park position the brake pedal failed to engage, the brake pedal became hard to move. The contact stated that the vehicle had to be moved by reversing the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer performed a diagnostic that located the failure code at the brake booster and the master cylinder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20v332000 (service brakes hydraulic). The failure mileage was 83,000.

Brake failure due to broken brake line. The hard metal brake line that runs from the distribution line on the ABS unit to the front drivers side brake came in contact with the steering linkage rubbing a hole in it. I have notified Ford customer care and my local dealer and they do not wish to take care of the issue. This posses a huge safety concern.

I recently had my low brake fluid warning come on, didn't think much of it at the time and added some dot4 fluid to my reservoir. Looked things over briefly, the reservoir seemed intact, master cylinder didn't appear wet, no spots on the garage floor, so all was good. After all the truck is 6+ years old, I just figured the time had just come to service the fluid and have the brakes looked at. Two weeks later I hadn't had time to get it to the shop and the warning appeared again. So I checked the reservoir and sure enough it was low again. So this time my investigation was deeper and I found fluid on the bottom of the master cylinder when I wiped my hand under it. The found more below the master cylinder on the shock mount and inner fender well. So I started shopping and checking prices on parts I might need to fix this and happened on this article on today's google, about a recall. So I went to the ntsb web site and checked my VIN #. nope no recall for my VIN #. went back to the article and reread it. So it seams that my 2014 with the made in dearborn sticker still in the front window is not part of the recall that describes my problem to the 't' ! I certainly believe it does, as do the pro's I've shown. I'm an a&P faa ndt inspector and deal with these very issues in the airline business daily and think there might be an oversight to the number of trucks included in the recall. I plan to go ahead with my repairs because I need it, but hope you will examine your scope of this more closely. Thanks for the service you provide to keep us safe!

On 11/15/2020 the brake pedal in my 2014 Ford F150 with ecoboost went to the floor while waiting at a stop light. The brake pedal could be pumped up, however would bleed off to the floor with constant moderate pressure. With no external leaks, this indicates a failed master cylinder. I see there are two recalls on the 2014 Ford F150 with ecoboost that cover all of the 2014 model except for trucks built in June and July 2014. Master cylinder failures and leaks are common in 2014 F150 with ecoboost and this is extremely unsafe. Luckily although I had 3 other passengers and towing a utility trailer no one was injured. Currently my truck is in the small gap between two recalls. This is unsatisfactory and Ford Motor Company should be held to account and provide vehicles with basic safety equipment in proper operating order.

While traveling at highway speed, while towing our rv, "low brake fluid" warning light came on and brakes failed. The only way I could safely stop was using the trailer brakes. I believe our vehicle should have been included in current recall, but Ford is stating our VIN is not part of recall.

About 3 or 4 weeks ago the front driver side brake hose burst and I lost all the brake fluid. Now on 10/17/2020 the passenger front side brake hose burst. They both burst in the same area are. This is the hose that connects the main brake line to the caliper. When it was noticed the truck was in parking lot space and getting ready to drive off. Both time it happened in a walmart parking lot. I called the dealership where I purchased the truck and the service department has never seen this before. I even called my regular mechanic and he stated it was very odd for this to happen.

Service advance track, ABS, break lights all on. Break pedal fades to floor when held Ford dealer said module failure. This same truck had recall for hydraulic failure was serviced in 2016 now they want $1600 for a new module then the service manager said pedal was not spongey. Like I said standing still in any gear including park press the break and hold it it fades to the floor reel safe I'm sure. ABS and break light only go on when you move truck.service advance track on when engine started.
