F-150 STX 3.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission

This truck was purchased in July 2016. There are times when shifting into reverse there's a loud clunk coming from the rear end. It sounds like the U-joints are coming out. The shop's answer was to grease them. Still does it. Taking it back this week for this problem and the transmission problem.

About a month after we bought the truck we started hearing a clunking noise in the rear end. Subsequently the truck has been in the dealership shop many times and now they're telling me they have 14 hours in my truck and they're done working on it. Had an engineer from Ford come look at it and of course he couldn't get it to make the noise but it still continues to this day. Now I have a hearing with an arbitrator to get a replacement truck.

Now just last week my low oil pressure light came on and the truck stalled out and I lost steering. Checked the oil it was fine but the check engine light was on. We scheduled another appointment for the truck but by then the check engine light went out. Luckily the dealership was able to locate the problem, the pressure switch in the gas tank quit working so now we have to take the truck back again for this repair. We've had this truck 13 months and I've never had these kind of problems with my GMC's. I am going back to a dependable GMC, Ford makes junk and doesn't stand behind their vehicles.
