Re: campaign 17V652000. Frozen doors/locks. Vehicle has had both the recall 17V652000 and service action 18N03 performed, issue still exists. Doors will not close and latch, doors will not open, lock mechanisms will not function when below freezing temperatures are present, especially after precipitation. Vehicle was stationary when issue occurred, however door could have easily opened if I had not realized it wasn't latched when it appeared to be. Ford does not appear to have a solution to this issue, or isn't serious about providing permanent remedy. Issue has happened several times when weather conditions apply.

The platinum trim version includes retractable running boards. These fail to deploy on occasion and have resulted in both my wife and I stumbling when getting out and expecting the running board to be deployed. It will also deploy and then immediately retract without warning. In the best, one side or the other would deploy and then immediately retract. Dealer has been unable to provide a permanent fix. Last night my wife opened the passenger door, the running board deployed, and as I wife attempted to step on it, it retracted which could have pinned her leg. Earlier that evening she went to exit the vehicle and stumbled after expecting the running board to be deployed. It had deployed but immediately retracted. This has also happened to me on the drivers side.

Door latch not working in freezing conditions. The vehicle has only 12,000 miles and has been into the dealer three times (two under recall) for this problem. It still has the same problem. The door will not latch either while stationary or in motion causing it to open while driving ( I've had to use a bungee cord on occasion) and it also makes it impossible to lock the vehicle when this happens. Ford's "fixes" are not satisfactory and this is a safety and security issue.

My 2015 Ford F 150 has been in the shop 6 times for repair of the moonroof that won't open, sticks, broken mechanism, or makes loud noise (popping sound) when it tries tom open. It has now developed a water leak that drips from the sliding rear window switch which may cause a short circuit. This problem happens at all vehicle modes. This problem started 4 months after purchasing the vehicle in 2015 and has continues to present day. Vehicle currently has 26+K miles. There are numerous complaints on the web about the same issue (s).

Repeat issue- this vehicle has been serviced by Ford for same latch freezing problem twice through recall and warranty fixes with no resolution. Vehicle was in park and the driver's side door was opened from the outside. The door latch became stuck and the door would not close. The outdoor temp was 29 degrees, and the door lock was frozen. After heating the truck for 20 minutes, latch unfroze and began working. Video is available upon request.

Complaint - manufacturer handing of NHTSA recall 17V652 I have contacted Ford multiple times regarding this recall and each time they have said I would be contacted when the parts are ready. It has been nearly a year since the original recall (Nov 2017). I encourage NHTSA to assess Ford's handling of this safety recall to determine if they are unnecessarily delaying required safety repairs.

While driving my 2015 Ford F-150 ecoboost at 45 mph on a city street I had a low break fluid warning light come on. I stopped at a stop light and all seemed fine.I proceeded 2 blocks to find somewhere safe to check the brake fluid level. When I tried to stop at the next stop light I had no brakes at all!!! I went through the red light intersection with my foot to the floor on the brakes. With luck, I did not hit another vehicle. I coasted slow enough to use my parking brake (E-brake) to make a full stop. I open the hood and noticed that the brake fluid reservoir was almost completely empty. After carefully examining all of the brake lines, fittings, calipers, master cylinder and the engine compartment no brake fluid was found leaking anywhere. I had the 2015 Ford F-150 ecoboost towed to a dealership. Also about a week ago during a long road trip I noticed a lot of wind noise coming from the drivers door. I was on an interstate going about 75 mph. I got off of the interstate and re-closed my door thinking I did not shut it hard enough. About 5 miles down the interstate driving about 75 mph I went over an approach (or a bump) to a bridge and the door dropped out of it's closed position and I could stick 4 fingers out between the door and door frame. I pull over at a safe area to exam the door and frame. I noticed that the door bolts (top and bottom) that hold the door hinge to the door had come loose and backed out about 4 turns. I tightened them and finished my trip. I notified the dealership so they can see why that had happened.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While attempting to exit the vehicle, the automatic running board inadvertently retracted. As a result, the contact's foot was lodged between the running board and the vehicle. The dealer (buss Ford Lincoln, 111 North Illinois route 31, mchenry, il 60050) was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was also contacted and stated that there was no recall for that specific failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 51,000.

It has been nearly nine months since Ford first reported a recall on certain Ford F-150 trucks related to faulty door latches. To date, Ford has still not notified effected owners how or where they can have their vehicles repaired. I encourage the NHTSA to determine whether or not Ford is living up to its obligations to repair the defect on a timely basis. Lives are at stake.

Moonroof will not open. Fabric moonroof cover will not open or close; it is open exposing the front half of the moonroof, but leaving the back covered. When driving, the sound of passing wind is loud. Before this happened, I had only opened the moon roof one or two times.

I have been dealing with Ford after they' fixed ' my perfectly working doors after a recall. They gave me back my vehicle and the drivers door didn't work. They never mentioned that part until I got down the road... when I called they said they had the wrong part and tried to fix with a zip tie... really? let's fast forward from end of March... door still doesn't work. I have to roll down window to get out. Part is on back order. And the best part- the problem has been registered as fixed in the recall database for Ford so I can't take it to another dealer without paying. So I am driving an unsafe vehicle now that was safe go figure.

Ford F150 lariat 2015 crew cab since it was new (Feb 2015) has weekly, had the passenger rear door lock stick making it impossible to open the door either from the inside or the outside. I took the car to the dealer in the early days of ownership for warrantee repair but they never could duplicate the problem. The vehicle was recently in for a recall notification for a cable issue with the door opening system which could fail, allowing the door to either not open or open unexpectedly. The replacement of the cable did not fix this problem and it continues until today. On March 27th I took the door apart to see if I could locate the problem. I was concerned and anxious, that if the car were to be involved in an accident, access through the passenger rear door could be blocked, making my grandson susceptible to possible danger if he was in his car seat. He lives with me and I take him to school everyday. Today the door jammed at his school as it does on 25% of the days I take him to school which causes problems in the school unloading zone. When I got home I once again tried to replicate the problem. I found the problem and will now describe it. The door lock, jams in a locked position if the door is locked and the rear passenger window is lowered more than 1". from the 1" open to full open position, the door lock will not disengage or permit the door to be opened by either the interior or exterior door handles. This occur no matter what the operating state the vehicle is in. The electric locking system will not unlock the door and manually pulling on the release button has only resulted in tearing the button from the metal rod to which it is attached (which happened today). So, any time the window is cracked open from 1" to full open, the locking system freezes in the locked position making the door a hazard and useless as an entry or exit means.

The contact called a local dealer (mark mclarty Ford, 4400 landers run rd North, little rock, ar 72117) and was informed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Ford has not addressed the following safety recall notice, which they released on 16 Oct 2017. According to a local Ford dealership, Ford has not distributed the appropriate parts to make the necessary repairs..... a frozen door latch or a bent or kinked actuation cable may result in a door that will not open or will not close condition. Should a customer be able to open and close the door with these conditions, the door may appear closed, but the latch may not fully engage the door striker and there is a potential the door could open while driving.

I've had issues with my door latches having my vehicle door open while driving and not locking properly or shutting properly. I have also had issues with my doors being frozen shut due to moisture getting inside the door and then freezing. My dealer has tried to fix this recall twice which failed both times. I've also been notified that the recall fix is not a permanent fix by Ford technicians. Clearly this recall is a safety issue and I am concerned for my daughter safety being that the doors will open when they want
