as i was driving home. i noticed that my brake pressure was getting low. when i came to a complete stop my foot went to the floor of the truck. LUCKILY i was able to pull over. when i checked the brake master cylinder reservoir the brake fluid was COMPLETLY gone. i was reading that Ford issued a Recall on on the 2014-17 Ford F-150 vehicles built at Kansas City Assembly Plant, Sept. 1, 2014 to Aug. 1, 2016 which mine was. i contacted Ford Motor Company and they stated that the recall was on a the 3.4 eco boost engine and and not the 2.7 which mine has. How does Engine Displacement make a difference on a defective Hydraulically master cylinder.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While driving 35 mph, the low brake fluid warning indicator illuminated and the brakes became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the rear seal on the brake master cylinder disintegrated, which caused the brake failure. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 76,000.
