My 2015 F150 ecoboost has 79,156 miles on it. Over the past 3 days the truck has repeatedly lost power while driving in traffic on the highway. The RPM will drop down to 500 RPM, rough idle, no acceleration at all, hill assist light wrench light check engine light passenger air bag light and see owners manual pop up on the instrument panel. Took my truck into Ford today and they replaced the throttle body under my extende warranty not their emissions warranty as stated in their owners manual of 8 years or 80,000 miles. Called Ford and they don't know about an emissions warranty in their owners manual. Looked online and youtube to discover this problem is not just me and frequent with others. This can really cause a horrible accident. Luckily I'm a cdl driver and was able to safely get over on the shoulder this time. I'm not confident replacing the throttle body was a fix as it is a bandage to happen again at any point in time. This truck now is compromised and I wouldn't want any of my family using it or depending on it.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle lost power and stalled without warning. There had also been some difficulty shifting gears from drive into park and reverse because the gear would not fully shift in place. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 19V075000 (power train) and 18V894000 (engine). Apple Ford Lincoln of apple valley (7200 150th St w, apple valley, mn 55124, (952) 431-5900) was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle after it had been taken back and forth more than once. The failure recurred with the vehicle stalling at any rate of speed and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer due to the potential risk of a crash. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA action number: RQ17010 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.. consumer replaced throttle body, both times vehicle lost all power other than idle @ roughly 60mph.

My 2015 Ford F150 lariat has a problem with the electric tailgate release. Tailgate opens when not supposed to. Opens when truck is started, during driving, and when truck is turned off. Has happened for the past 60 days. Truck is beyond warranty and no recall noted. Tailgate comes open while towing trailer, causing issues. When I tow a trailer I have to pull fuse for tailgate release so that it does not drop during driving. Very annoying and dangerous. Mostly do highway driving. Clicking noise on passenger side floor when tailgate is closed, tailgate will stay closed when door is locked. Once doors are unlocked tailgate opens. Need to step out of truck, while door is open I lock the doors, walk to tailgate close it, run back to drivers seat, close drivers door and press door lock button again to keep tailgate locked. Works sometimes, other times I will be driving and the tailgate opens during driving.

I was driving down a city road when the electrical system failed on 11/13. The entire electrical system would go dark for a minute and then come back on for a few seconds, during which I received numerous warning messages. When the system was out, the dashboard display was dead and power steering was offline. I started to receive warning messages about the charging system on 11/6. I brought it to three different places before it failed. On 11/6 advance auto parts told me it was fine. The light went away and later returned.on 11/8 autozone said the battery needed a charge. 11/9 monro said the alternator may need to be replaced. After monro, I made an appointment with Ford. First available was 11/14. The incident occurred after not driving the truck 11/10-11/12. After the incident, I had the truck towed to Ford for service. The dealership finally and reluctantly told me the cause of the failure. Apparently, one or more of the wires connected to the alternator had been severed by rubbing against the housing meant to protect them. The truck was only 3.5 years old and had fewer than 15,000 miles on it. Ford refused to cover it as it was 6 months out of warranty. The cause of the failure seems to be either a design flaw or a quality control issue. If either of those are the case, a recall may be necessary.

I was on the highway and the hill start assist/traction control lights started coming on. A few hundred miles later, more dash lights started flashing and then all dash lights went off and the truck lost all power. I could no longer accelerate. After a moment, it started working again. After a few more miles, it did it again, and this time when it powered down, the ABS break system went on and created a terrible grinding noise and brought me to a stop on the side of the highway. I limped it on the side of the highway, trying to find an exit, and the truck repeatedly did the lights flashing/power down/breaks applied several more times at low speed. The nearest exit was about 10 miles, so I had to continue to do this for some time. Once I was at an exit, I disconnected the battery for about 20 minutes. When I re-connected the battery and started the truck, everything seemed fine, but now the check engine light was on. I decided to just risk it and keep driving, so that I could get home. About 100 miles later it started doing the same thing again. I was close enough to home to get off the highway and take back roads home. It did it a few more times and then quit doing it. This was a very dangerous situation, as my truck basically stopped while I was on the highway going 70 mph, and could have caused a serious accident, and left me no option but to either be broken down on the side of the highway or drive at very low speeds on the shoulder. The Ford dealer that I took the truck to told me that they can't replicate the issue and all diagnostics come back clean, so they are not able to fix anything. Others online that have had the same/similar issue have said that Ford said that it is a damaged throttle body that needs to be replaced, but the dealership that I went to did not suggest that as the cause.

We had a throttle body issue this summer and had to have it replaced and towed. During driving, we lost all power, major safety issue! when I asked Ford about it, they said they didn't know about the issue; however they issued several recalls regarding this. This truck isn't in the recall, which makes no sense. It is evident that Ford has a major issue with their throttle bodies I have spoken with Ford several times, they are not helpful and are refusing to pay for this.

I started the truck with the remote start to let it warm up. After around 3 to 5 minutes we went to get in and noticed smoke and a burning smell coming from the back seat. I turned the truck off and inspected the area the smoke was coming from and noticed the insulation was burned from the wire and my back window had cracks over the entire surface. I believe the rear defrost shorted out

Electrical power connector for rear sliding window defroster broke at its attachment (factory soldered) point to the rear sliding widow glass. This leaves the defogger inoperable and eliminates rear visibility due to fog/frost/ice build-up. Vehicle is just out of its 3 year warranty and has less than 28,000 miles. I have spoken with Ford customer service. Ford Motor Company service is unwilling to recognize/correct the factory defect and claimed to have no knowledge of similar issues for the 2015 model. This defect is apparently similar to that which Ford has recognized for similar 2013 models, issuing a technical service bulletin (Ford tsb asi-32259)

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While passing an 18-wheeler on the right side of the road at highway speeds, the adaptive cruise control activated and the collision warning with brake support feature engaged without warning. The failure occurred twice and caused the vehicle to come to a complete stop. The contact felt that the sensors or an electrical fault within the vehicle could be affecting the adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support, which could cause a crash. The dealer (autonation Ford frisco, 6850 tx-121, frisco, tx 75034, 1-(972) 763-5523) was notified and stated that there was no way to replicate the failure without a diagnostic trouble code. The dealer did not test drive the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and advised the contact to call a dealer. The failure mileage was not available.

The trucks warning system has a serious problem that is hard to explain. The system will display multiple warning and error messages while driving. It happens infrequently, which is why the dealer can not fix it. The driver's display screen will cycle through many warnings, I.e. "transmission not in park", "parking brake warning", "4 by 4 warning etc. Probably at least a dozen messages. Its not just annoying. Sometimes the turn signal will not work. The speedometer drops to 0 - while driving at highway speeds. Cruise control usually wont work. So, to reiterate, while driving at highway speeds the electrical system malfunctions, the system beeps for each message, the display goes black, turn signals don't work, the radio doesn't work. This typically lasts for 5 to 20 minutes before clearing up. The dealer has seen the hundreds of warning and error messages that accumulate, but they can't fix it unless the root problem is still present. I have recorded video that demonstrates this problem.

While driving my truck (typically at moderate speeds - 20 - 30mph) it will suddenly reduce rpms to about 500 and the speed will drop to around 5 mph. Simultaneously with that occurring I will receive the following warning indicators "hill start assist not available" then another warning "hill descent control fault" then another warning "service advancetrac" then "see manual". this happens typically while accelerating and has occurred on city streets as well as while merging on a highway on ramp (bad situation). The resolution is to turn the car off an let it sit for a second then start it and drive slowly. This is widely documented across the internet with no identified cause and constitutes a severe safety hazard.

While driving there is rattling inside of the steering column that started a few months back. Now my alternator seems to not be working properly and the truck will only crank when I have all extras off (radio, ac, etc.) I also have to pump the gas for some reason for it to turn over completely. Otherwise it just dies. Never had a problem until last week when it wouldn't turn over at all. My battery is pulling 13.9 V and I have checked the connections. For a truck to be 3 years old and already need a new alternator appalls me. There is something else going on and the rattling in the steering column is somehow related to me having problems cranking the truck.

2015 F150 2.7L ecoboost 31,908 miles... upon merging into traffic truck suddenly surges, followed by audible bang then abruptly loses all power "no driving conditions out of the ordinary, not under hard acceleration." Warning lights on the dash light up and I have no control of vehicle. Luckily I was fortunate to not have much traffic around me at the time and promptly coasted into a deserted parking lot to call my dealership. I am afraid to drive my truck now for fear of causing an accident due to mechanical/electrical failure, I don't want to die and don't want to put anyone it that position either. Dealer replaced the throttle body and says its ok to drive yet the throttle body they used as a replacement is no different then the one that failed how can that be safe? I'd like them to trust a truck that ceased all essential operations (brakes, acceleration, power steering) with a wife and kids in the vehicle during morning rush hour in the fourth largest city in the United States with speeding drivers who don't pay attention to the road in front of them, then we will talk. This is a huge safety concern and a known problem with many other Ford vehicles!!! fix it before someone gets hurt or dies as a result! do the right thing and hold the manufactures responsible its why we have the NHTSA. How is there not a massive recall with the eco boost engines in regards to the faulty throttle body, anything less is unacceptable. Does someone have to die first?

There is an existing adaptive cruise control safety recall open for this year, make, and model, but my truck also experiences the exact same issues described by Ford on their own site every time I use the adaptive cruise control: Https://media.Ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2015/09/30/Ford-issues-five-safety-recalls-and-one-safety-compliance-recall.html I'm sure that the existing safety recall needs to be expanded to additional vins within the F-150 range of vehicles. It is extremely dangerous in the way it currently operates.
