I was crossing a busy highway bridge and the truck started violently jerking and shaking, stuttering barely moving. I was able to limp over out of on coming traffic. Was almost hit from behind. I took to Ford house to have repaired. Turns out the throddle body was defective and not covered under warranty. My specific VIN number is not on the list even though it is a 2015 model vehicle. Do I need to join the class action lawsuit to be reimbursed?

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. While attempting to exit the vehicle, the automatic running board inadvertently retracted. As a result, the contact's foot was lodged between the running board and the vehicle. The dealer (buss Ford Lincoln, 111 North Illinois route 31, mchenry, il 60050) was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was also contacted and stated that there was no recall for that specific failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 51,000.

The "third brake light" is melting due to excess heat put off by the bulbs.not only is the housing melting but it has allowed large amounts of condensation in when it rains. This problem was first noticed roughly a year ago but continues to get worse. Ford not only wants to charge me for a repair but they plan to use the same part which I have personally seen with the same issue in about a dozen 2015 F150S as well as read about it in various forums online effecting countless 2015 F150 owners. I have photos that date back to over a year ago that show the progression of the issue over time. My fear is that with time it may cause an even bigger issue by allowing water to come in and even be a potential fire hazard.

The panoramic sunroof locked up on me when I tried to open it... it would not open and it makes obnoxious noises under normal driving conditions... there are many you tube videos on this ref. Issue... Ford is replacing the parts to the sunroof, I have read on many Ford forums that this 'quick fix' will not correct the problem... additionally the steering column always feels like it's positioned off center and veers to the right... I had the truck aligned, problem still exists... also I've had reoccurring issues with my sync/bluetooth and have advised my service advisors that the problem still exists, when I talk to anyone via the bluetooth I hear loud intermittent static throughout the phone call and the folks on the receiving end of the call all say that there is an echo in the phone line forcing me to end the handsfree sync call and therefore using my own bluetooth... Ford service advisor stated it was because I have an apple iphone, I'm less than satisfied about how Ford is handling this issue... I have complained more than 3 times on record about this issue

Unknown if takata recall or other air bag issue. I am investigating officer not vehicle owner. Observed that post moving 2 car intersection crash and airbag deployment, B-pillar started on fire, melting seat belt, most of B-pillar and parts of curtain and side airbags. Fire put itself out. Owner was not injured but concerned. Heat appeared to have melted seat belt through, air bags were burnt. Case#M18-1676

My wife was driving our 2015 F150 on a local street and wanted to turn off the radio so she could speak with me. She accidentally hit the start/stop button and the engine shut completely off. We were doing 35 mph at the time and the truck was in "drive." We managed to wrestle the truck to a stop, put it in park and restart with no problem. Vehicle was in motion on a city street. I tested it later in our driveway and the same issue occurred. I cannot believe that in a "push button start/stop" you should ever be able to shut the vehicle off while in motion and in drive or reverse. I contacted the Ford dealership maintenance and they told me that was "normal."

Several non starting issues. On one occasion, instrument panel did not come on after starting the vehicle. It would have been unsafe to drive the vehicle with no indication of speed, engine/transmission information, and other vital data. After several restarts, instrument panel came on after a 45 second delay. A wrench warning icon was displayed on the instrument panel. Took the vehicle to my servicing dealer the following day. They could not duplicate the issue, so no repair was made. The truck was stationary when this occurred. We were parked on a city street. This truck has had several electrical malfunctions since the vehicle was new. I have several service records which I will supply if needed to help your investigation.

I have a 2015 F150 king ranch with the 3.5L ecoboost. It has 41,000 miles and never had an issue until yesterday morning and today around lunch. This was from yesterday 10/23/17: Hill descent control fault service advancetrac hill start assist not available I was pulling out onto a highway and the truck began shaking violently, moving very slow with no acceleration, power steering was lost, and the dashboard was showing all the above errors. Luckily there were no vehicles coming when I entered the highway and there was a place to safely pull off the highway. The truck continues to idle rough and shake violently. And today 10/24/17: I was driving down the interstate at 70 mph when the truck did the same thing as yesterday morning. I was able to pull off the side of the highway and shut off the motor. Once I restarted the engine, I was able to get it to the local Ford dealership. They say they have no idea why it would be doing this and have not heard anything from Ford or seen this in other F150's they have serviced. Update: The dealership claims the fix is in a faulty electronic throttle body and they replaced it at a whopping price of $770. A simple google search shows Ford has issues with etb's across vehicles of all classes and knows about it. In fact, some consumers seem to be involved in lawsuits against Ford because of their unwillingness to issue a recall before someone is fatally injured. These were scary, scary situations with my vehicle and thank god my wife and kids were not with me. There is obviously an issue and Ford needs to correct it at their expense.

While traveling, with my children in the car, I had an electronic throttle body failure causing my vehicle to abruptly decelerate. This just so happened to occur while in traffic and in a curve but fortunately I was able to maintain control. I did not know at the time that this was the throttle body and assumed it was something wrong with the transmission. After the dealership told me the issue and the repair cost I decided to research it and it looks like this is a pretty common occurrence. I would like to see this issue made into a recall for safety purposes and for frequency of occurrence to other Ford owners.

April 26, 2017 the following components malfunctioned simultaneously when returning to truck from shopping: Running boards would not deploy or retract; airbag(s) warning light on dash was lit; climate control system, both heat and cooling was out of service; front windows would not respond to controls; seat comfort functions did not work; mirror adjustment and retraction inoperable; back-up system and warnings inoperable; cross traffic system fault; blind spot warning error. Wiring harnesses replaces and picked truck up May 12th 2017. That evening while driving with a trailer, a message appeared concerning the trailer being disconnected. That disappeared and then the following happened: Warning messages began to appear on the driver's display screen saying, 'your vehicle is not in park', 'check manual', 'downhill assist not operational'. then the lights went out, the truck lost power (the engine was still running), it shifted into downhill assist, front windows didn't work, passenger seat moved by itself, driver's seat began to go back as if the truck was turned off, then it returned to driving position, the sync display went dead and came back on, the driver's display shut down and came back on. All these things continued to repeat as bells sounded and I limped 5 miles back to my son's house. Same problems exhibited when son took truck to the dealer the following am without trailer. Another harness replaced. Picked up truck and drove without incident about 800 miles. When starting truck, trailer message reoccurred. There was no trailer attached. Two days later after being parked, all the 1st set of failures reoccurred. Running boards, ac-heat, air bags, windows, mirrors, cross traffic system, blind spot warning were all inoperable.

The adaptive cruise control slams on the brakes after just passing the end of a semi or large truck. It happens intermittently but has continued over the last 14 months. We have taken the vehicle to the dealer 4 times and they were unable to fix the problem. We traded the vehicle in this last week it still has the same problem.

On 2/23/2017 while driving 50-55 mph on an expressway, the vehicle throttle became unresponsive. The tachometer still showed about 1,000 rpms, dash lights began illuminating, advancetrac was disabled, hill start assist was disabled, the wrench light enabled and a check manual light enabled. There also was a hard shift or clunk sound that came from the transmission. After shifting the truck into neutral while coasting, I attempted to turn off and restart the engine. Engine successfully restarted, but the throttle remained unresponsive and all warning lights mentioned above returned. I pulled the truck safely to the side of the highway, and attempted to restart again. This time the engine sputtered and then I turned it off. Next I removed the key, opened the door, closed the door, locked the truck, waited for the accessory lights to turn off, unlocked the truck, opened and closed the door and then restarted, and the truck seemed to clear the problem. I took the truck to the dealer and they later told me the truck is not storing any error codes in it's memory.

My 2015 Ford F-150 was parked on my driveway. Doors would not unlock in 14* northern Michigan temperatures. My key fob, door key, and keypad would not open the locks after the truck was remotely started. An extremely dangerous situation if me or my family were participating in cold weather outdoor activities in remote areas. Please refer to my uploaded document which describes the situation as it unfolded. I have read in online forums of other F-150 owners having the same kind of door lock issues. I have not found any safety recalls from Ford. I am wondering why. Doors that will not open are dangerous and potentially life threatening under the right circumstances. Particularly in cold weather states like Michigan.

The power locks on my truck to not operate properly. Some times they will not unlock and some times that will not lock. This morning I unlock the drivers door and go to the store, I get to the store and unlock the rear drivers door. I come back out of the store and only 1 door of the 4 doors would unlock, (drivers door) I reach across and open the passenger door from the inside, put the groceries and then the passenger side door will not lock.

I was unable to open my 2015 Ford F150 power doors using the key fob, door code buttons, or grip handle sensors. This was most concerning because the issue started with the rear doors; this caused my child to become stuck in the vehicle. The temperature was below freezing at this time. If I had not been able to release the door this would have been an immediate safety issues to my young children. This issue has since progressed to all doors becoming dysfunctional. My vehicle is now at the Ford dealership. My vehicle was both stationary and in motion at the time of incident on city streets and freeway. If I had been in an accident and quickly needed to extract my children from the vehicle the issue of the doors not functioning and freezing could have put my and my children's well fare at extreme risk.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the tailgate did big time detached from the vehicle on its own. The failure damaged the wiring cable on the rear of the vehicle. The dealer diagnosed that the computer wires that were damaged needed to be replaced first in order to properly diagnose the tailgate failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but the contact had not received a response. The approximate failure mileage was 21,000. Updated 01/10/17*
