Sometimes when we start the truck, the touchscreen display will not turn on at all. This typically happens after the truck has been operating, and we make a brief stop (like for a gas station or something). The touchscreen is completely inoperable, but we can hear the radio, and the volume and power knob continues to function.
The fix for me has been to turn off the truck, and let enough time pass so that all of the accessory power turns off (this is usually a 2-3 minutes). Once this happens, I start the truck again, and the touchscreen typically has reset itself and now turns on. On some occasions, this will need to be repeated 2 or 3 times before the display comes back on. As you can imagine, on a long road-trip, this is extremely frustrating.

Screen on my 2016 platinum has failed to come on six times in11000 miles local dealer is trying but ford motor company not williing to authorize repair. I have had it in shop 6 times and they can not pinpoint problem so the fix is to replace all 6 modules that are involved. I paid enough for the pickup that Ford should be able to make things right.
