Replaced all pads and rotors bled brakes and the problem returned within 10000 miles. Poor braking and warped rotors from calipers sticking the dealer told me. I suspect bad master cylinder causes the pistons to not retract due to pressure leakage at the master cylinder. This is an ongoing problem with my truck vibration warped rotors hanging calipers all caused by a master cylinder that isn’t operating normally.

Doesn’t pay to replace parts because it just returns very quickly. Excessive fuel consumption also.

So I'm driving this morning, I came to a stop sign and as I begin to brake it was like the brakes make a slight sound and slid a bit ending with a thump. I'm not sure what this is but it happened the day before and I shook it off as I was hearing things. So after it happened the first time, I tried braking 2 more times, and sure enough it did it again, both times. I hope this isn't a sign of the brakes going on as mentioned in this recall investigation.

Stopped at a stop light and held pressure on brake pedal and noticed the pedal slowly going to the floor. Removed my foot and then reapplied the brakes, had a full pedal and it slowly went to the floor again. Called the dealership and scheduled an appointment. When I got to the dealership I explained the issues I was having and the shop foreman verified the pedal was going to the floor. Mechanics looked at the truck and checked the brake system and said there was no problem with the brake system. Shop foreman said he checked three other new 2016 F-150 trucks on the lot while the mechanic checked my truck and I was told that all three trucks on the lot did the same thing. Dealership stated at least I had a record of the issue on file now. I called Ford and talked to a lady and she told me that Ford had no complaints or recalls on the 2016 F-150 brakes but I could contact the NTSB if I needed to. So now every time I drive the truck I have to wonder if it will stop before I have a wreck. This issue is not once in awhile it is at every stop light.

Was driving down the road coming to a stop light and the brake pedal went to the floor! Had to swerve to the shoulder to avoid hitting a vehicle. It had a full resorvoir, no leaks seen. Pumping the brakes brought up the pressure but then pedal would slowly sink to the floor. Towed to dealership, still waiting for word on the outcome. We are on vacation so had to rent a vehicle since dealer didn't have any loaners.

I agreed to purchase this F150 on 1/27/2016 but requested that the mushy brakes be repaired first (pedal goes to floor). Went back to dealer 1/27 to complete paperwork and pick up repaired truck. Was told that the truck was checked by the service dept. and that brakes were normal. I completed the paperwork but left the truck there to be checked by the service dept. again the next morning. I got a phone call the next morning saying the brakes had been fixed and the truck was ready for pickup. When I arrived at the dealership I went to the truck and pressed the brake pedal and it went to the floor. I was told that it had been checked by four service techs and all agreed that the brakes were fine. They also gave me a service report saying the brake operation was normal. I took the truck home that afternoon since it didn't appear that this service dept was not qualified . On 1/31 I took the truck to a different dealer. They said the master cylinder was by-passing and ordered a new one. It came in the next day and I took the truck in for repair. After the truck was "repaired" I got in the truck to head back home. The brake pedal went to the floor. I went back in and reported that it was the same as before. After discussions, the service dept got a new truck off of the sales lot and showed me that this break pedal also went to the floor, so this pedal operation was normal. I took my truck and returned home. Now I have a very expensive truck that I am afraid to drive.

Brake pedal went to the floor board without any notice.... happened while in park and approaching a red light. Called the dealer today and they have not heard of any problems with the brake system....They asked me to bring it in to look for any reason the pedal would go to the floor...

Have a 2016 F150 purchased in March. Well this weekend towing my boat had to hit brakes hard a few times and the pedal went to the floor with a at best sluggish response. Good thing I was traveling a safe distance from vehicle. Several times during weekend same thing even traveling at low speed. Currently at dealer and heard mention of possible master cylinder. Thankfully no accident but really disappointed with FORD on this one. Have not had a new vehicle in 11 years and now this. I hope they resolve this issue in a timely manner. Be aware F150 owners!

Since 9/7/16 I was told this was a back order item and was told there were no recalls so I trusted my dealer. after waiting it didn't make sense they couldn't get the part. I said take one off another truck was told they couldn't. this master cylinder problem is nation wide and defiantly a major problem they should tell all ford owners with this year and model. the issue before someone gets injured or killed this should not be covered up we should all call the news media I own 7 ford trucks and have been buying ford trucks since 1971 and have always had faith in ford this puts a bad taste in my mouth something has to be done to protect the consumer all dealers and ford knows this is a problem and the public should be made aware of this this is being covered up until they get the new part than they will issue a recall ther just playing the odds no one will get hurt

This vehicle is brand new. I've had it for less than 3 months. I was traveling at 20mph in the middle of town (just started up from a green light and went through intersection) and had to suddenly stop- collision warning went off. I hit the brakes hard and the pedal went limp to the floor- I had to pump them. Pretty scary stuff- I emailed the dealership today to schedule an appointment so that I will have a record of the problem. If this becomes an issue down the road it will make a lawsuit very easy to win. I love how they want me to drop it off on a weekday when I work (won't do it on Saturdays), but won't give me a free rental. I just paid Ford $56,000 for a pickup truck and this is how they do me?

Thanks Ford!

Twice in 7k miles had the brakes fail pulling up to a stop light when pedal completely goes to floor. Took to Joe Cooper Ford in Yukon Oklahoma. I complained that brakes were failing. They showed on work order 581318 that they were unable to duplicate customer complaint. No Kidding? It only happened twice in 7k miles. Called another dealer and they stated that ford has a problem and parts are on worldwide backorder. My dealer just send me out driving a potential disaster waiting to happen.

the brake pedal went straight to the floor

The brake pedal went straight to the floor after applying pressure to the pedal while stopped. The vehicle stopped fine when coming to a gradual stop, but the pedal would sink to the floor if I had to stop semi to fully abruptly.

I experienced this the day after I had my first oil change. Not sure if the issue was related, but I took it back to Ford and they "think" it's the master cylinder. Of course, the part is on backorder and I've been driving a Focus loaner for the last 6 weeks while I await the part to come in.

So I'm driving around town and make a turn, and the pedal goes to the floor. My first thought is I did something wrong. So while driving straight the brakes work fine. I pull into an empty parking lot to really test the brakes. I found that I had no brakes hard left or right but sufficient brakes head on.

Then a couple of days later I'm coming up on a light stopped with traffic. I touch the brakes and being straight on, they go to the floor. I panic but pump the brakes and move off to the right so I will only ride the empty sidewalk if they fail. They stopped me. I make it home safely and drop off early the next morning at the dealer. He seems shocked that I am having this problem.

Checked back two weeks later, I find they have two more waiting for the back ordered master cylinders. I didn't have an accident, but was uncertain for a minute. No loss of fluid at all. Driving to the Ford dealer was scary also, but learned if you pump lightly, you can stop but too unsafe to drive. A week later and I am not sure I want to keep the truck. Dodge is looking better and better!

brake pedal sinks to the bottom and dont brake consistently

The first time I felt it I was on my way for work on a dirt road (not off road) and when I tried to brake the truck took too long to stop, and i reached a fence and a steel rod. I felt stupid for that issue and I blame the dirt on the road - even I still thougt I was too strange to skid like that at 30 km/h -

But the second time I was more obvious, I was in a parking lot of a mall and I needed to make a reverse move, even when I saw a concret wall and the sensors made the sound I cound´t stop the truck and hit the wall at 20 or 25 km/h and the rear bump had a damage that reached a little bit - almost unapreciable - the aluminum body.

Right now the pedal goes to the bottom something like the 50% of the times and I have to step hard to completly stop the truck.

This is a very serious problem, fortunately for me I only had two minor accidents at very low speed, but if this happens to someone at high speed will definitely not be the same story. Tomorrow I will go to the Ford dealer to check this problem and of course claim to fix everything. At the moment I feel a little disappointed having spent a large sum of money on a product that just 7,000 km already have this problem.

I will keep you informed.
