I was told by the sales person, (xxxxx), that the truck is under a bumper to bumper warranty, and a Ford company warranty that includes even the light bulb. After just few days of driving, I noticed some vibration of the truck, bad oil burning in the cabine, griding of the wheels when I have to take sharp corners and many more issues. Called the covington Ford dealer about the problems/issues I have with the truck. I was told to take it to a Ford dealer to have it inspected. Did that. Called covington Ford and they told me to take it over to theyr dealer and they will checked and fix it. Left the truck for over a week with them I called to see what's going on with my truck. I was told they fixed everything.now the vibration is getting worse. Called again covington Ford with same problems. I told them I'll go on a hunger strike in front of their dealer and Ford company main office. And I will if the problem is not solved. The owner of covington Ford contacted me by phone, and left me a mesage that thy will take care of the truck or get me another truck. Drove again to their dealer on a Saturday morning. The sales person, (xxxxx), took a test drive and he said that yes, there are to many problems with the truck, so, I'm gonna get another one. After over 3 hours of back and forth with the owner and general manager, they offer me a older model,2015, and lower XL model. Now I have F150 2016xlt. Did not accepted, so they told me to hit the road. As I said, I'm gonna go on a day hunger strike, call all the media outlets. Even I'll put it on face book. Covington Ford should be responsable and inspect the cars before they offer it for sale. I hope that you will help me to solve this problem before I'll go on a hunger strike. All I want from covington Ford to stand behind their sales, honor the warranties. Thank you. A very disappointed customer. An unsafe, road hazard, a booby trap F150 truck. This is what I got from a Ford dealer in covington. An unsafe truck.whose fault that the truck is on the roads" would like to find out. Ford comp. Or the dealer? we are an older, seniors, minority couple just trying to buy our first F150 truck. On Dec. 31st 2018, bought a 2016 F150 Ford truck from this dealer. I was told that this truck is covered by a special Ford comp. Take back the truck. I have his message on my voice mail. They will try to fix it full warranty being a buy back truck, including even the light bulbs, on top of the regular warranty.. said that vibration came from the wheels no, called them again, sent them few emails. I told them that I will go on a hunger strike in front of their dealer. Finally, the owner, math, called me to or they will give me another truck. They knew that the truck is not safe to drive on the streets. It's road hazard. And not talking about the smoke inside the cabin. You can die of suffocation. Drove another our or so to their dealer. Had erddyn, the seller guy to drive test the truck. After few minutes of drive, we noticed the vibration. He said is normal. Then it started to vibrate even worst. I asked him about the strong smoke smell. Did not say anything. Got back to the dealer, inspected the truck.the truck was in good shape. After 2 hours of talk with the owner, they offer me get me another truck. Older year model, inferior class. Did not accepted, so, they said hit the road. And left after wasting over 3 hours. So, here I am with a very unsafe truck driving on the roads. Sooner or later an accident is gonna happen, or me dying of suffocation in the cabin. No. I'm gonna protest in front of their dealer, and then I'm gonna do the same in front Ford Motor Company headquarter. Is their fault too. Putting back on the roads a unsafe car" and covington Ford to sell it.

Driving down a hill with my family in the truck on a divided highway going approximately 50 mph. I went to apply the brakes for an upcoming stop light and the pedal went almost completely to the floor. At the same time a "brake fluid level low" alarm light turned on in my dash along with the parking brake engaged symbol. I had to quickly shift my transmission to manual and down shift the transmission from 6th gear all the way down to first gear to be able to safely pull off to the side of the road. When I checked, the brake fluid reservoir was below the minimum (min) level indicator. I later filled the reservoir to the max line and tested the brakes. The "brake fluid low level" warning light and the parking brake applied light went away and everything seemed normal. I tested the brakes and they seemed to be working. I then tested the vehicle out in a safe area and within minutes the brakes failed again and the lights came back on. At this time I parked the vehicle and referred to the factory repair manual to diagnose the problem. There were no visible leaks from any of the brake components including the calipers, brake lines or master cylinder. The manual recommended checking to see if any brake fluid was in the brake booster. The brake booster was nearly half full of brake fluid. At this point I replaced the master cylinder and brake booster as recommended by the factory manual. This is a know issue with 2013-2016 Ford F-150's and there has been a factory recall on the 2013-2014 F-150's (16V345000). I feel that if I had not put the vehicle in manual and downshifted I would not been able to stop and could have caused an accident at the intersection. Even after the repair of the brake system I do not feel comfortable driving this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. When the brake pedal was applied, there was a total loss of brake power and the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The failure occurred intermittently and without warning. The dealer (greenway Ford, 9001 E colonial dr, orlando, fl 32817, (407) 544-5252) was contacted, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA action number: RQ16001 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

While on the freeway, a warning message illuminated on the cluster "brake fluid low". concerned, I checked the braking function a few times slowing from my cruising speed of 78 mph to around 55 mph to test the braking function, and all seemed well. I decided to continue the remaining 15 minutes of my trip since the brakes seemed to be functioning correctly and there was no traffic, as it was 4:30am on a Sunday morning, but I proceeded with caution. When exiting the freeway, I decided to brake early in the event there was a problem, but again the braking felt absolutely normal, not even the slightest hint of any brake loss. I then traveled about 11 miles with the cruise control set to 65 mph, there was no need for stopping or slowing at any point during this stretch. Nearing my turn, I again decided it would be best to remain cautious and brake early. It was at this point that I could tell something was wrong, as the brake pedal had very little stopping power as I pressed the brake pedal completely to the floor, only slowing from 65 mph to about 25 mph over a distance approaching a quarter mile. After this, the brakes were completely out at this point. I have experience with moving trucks with no brakes, using only the emergency brake, so I felt confident continuing the short distance to my home using slow speeds (>15 mph), manually shifting the transmission for engine braking and using the emergency brake. I was able to get the vehicle home with no incident. Inspected brake fluid reservoir, found it was empty but found no sign of a leak. I figured the master cylinder leaked internally, which the dealer confirmed. Both parts needed for repair were on a national back-order, unavailable from Ford. A little search on google reveals this failure is common on 2013-16 F-150. Dealer located parts from other dealers stock, but vehicle was out of service 10 days.

Complete brake failure occurred without warning except for a period of seconds during which "low brake fluid" warning light appeared. Vehicle was operating normally at all times prior to event. 38,111 miles on vehicle. Approx. 4 mile drive to highway, brakes working normally. While traveling 70mph (the legal limit there), warning light appeared. I immediately tapped brakes and found that pedal went all the way to floor. Managed to get to shoulder without accident. Drove gingerly to service station to examine. No leakage at calipers, on rotors or from any brake lines. Brake fluid reservoir empty. Had been full previously and vehicle well maintained. I filled reservoir with dot appropriate brake fluid, no change in braking ability. With pumping of pedal, no effect. With pedal all the way to floor, vehicle exhibited extremely attenuated braking (took well over 30 feet to slow from 10 mph to zero). Truck to Ford service department/bay. They told me that "we see one of these about every week" which I found shocking. They rapidly diagnosed problem as master cylinder failure with bleed of fluid into booster system (which is why no pressure, but no leakage of fluid externally). They replaced the master cylinder and the booster. This is a very dangerous problem. Fortunately, I did not injure or kill anyone when brakes failed at highway speed.

Being the driver of a 2016 F-150 crew cab 4X4 with 3.5 eco boost motor. I have been now been involved in two brake failure related collisions. One on June 20, 2017 and the other this year on July 3rd. The first brake related collision was on June 20th, 2017. I was stopped at a traffic light behind some other cars waiting on light to change. Next thing I know I feel a slight bump hitting the car in front of me so I go to hit the brake again and inadvertently hit the accelerator ending up pushing the car in front of me into the car in front of it. Which caused a 3 vehicle accident that day. Now this July 3rd I was involved in a much serious accident due to brake failure. I was driving in far left lane approaching a traffic light that was red and cars in front of me stopped ahead. I went to hit my brakes to stop and the truck kept on get going in a forward motion without any indication the brakes were working. I tried to direct truck to the left side median to avoid a collision and while in forward motion I made impact with the car in middle pushing it into the first car up front that was involved in my second accident. My truck's middle and right front made contact with car in front of me hard enough to puncture gas tank on the left side of that car with my front mounted trailer hitch and push it into the 1st car's rear end. My drivers side steering wheel air bag deployed hitting me in the stomach area and seat belt faster on drivers side bruised my right hip, and neck ended up with some muscle strain as well. The driver of the most forward car went to the hospital with unknown injuries while I was tending to the local authorities investigation and my truck. The driver in middle car, the car I struck I know that their car was totaled with severe damage to both front and rear damage. Weather clear and roads dry. There was no trace of skid marks on the road.

I drove my truck to my farm without incident. After being parked for a while, my son-in-law got in to drive to a work area and immediately reported the brake pedal went to the floor. We checked the brake fluid level and it was almost empty, even though I had recently had the level checked as "full" at a change of oil and filter. It took two large bottles of brake fluid (at over $8 each, just to get it home (about 50 miles). I had to pump the brakes during this trip to get braking action and drive very carefully and slowly. The day before this happened I had towed a single axle trailer with an agricultural disc on it. Had this quick loss of brakes occurred at that time, it likely would have resulted in serious injury, property damage, and even death. The shop where I took it replaced the master cylinder, the power booster, which had filled with fluid, and an O2 sensor, which had been damaged. The total cost was $1194.34. Since all the parts were replaced with new Ford brand parts, there is a likelihood that it will happen again. This is a real safety issue and merits a recall, as well as reimbursement to me of my expenses.

I am emailing you to both alert you of a situation and ask that you reach out to my father regarding what happened to him this morning. He owns a 2016 or 2017 F-150 with the 3.5 eco-boost. This morning as he was driving between 50 ' 60 mph South on hwy 111 in coming into livingston tn. He let of the gas preparing to veer right on the 111 bypass, his brake warning light came on and when he attempted to apply the brakes his foot went to the floor and the was absolutely zero there for him to stop the truck. Luckily this happened about 6 am and there was no one on the road and it was in a place that he had room and time to shift down and decrease his speed and pull over. One mile further and this could have had a very different ending. He was on his way to pick up a boat.. so this was three hours later this could have had an extremely different ending. Did I mention he 81 years old. There was little to no warning, the light came on just as he was getting ready to make his turn. This could have turned out very bad.

On 7/16/18 at approximately 0400, while on rt 95 S driving at approximately 68 mph, in stamford ct, I applied brakes and brakes failed. Using downshift and E brake I successfully slowed down and took the nearest exit ramp. Brought the vehicle to the nearest Ford dealer. Its reported that the master cylinder failed. Looking on-line there is an apparent issue the 2015, 2016 V6 eco boost models where this failure has occurred. Ford is currently evaluating whether to cover the repairs. This notification is for record purposes as on-line it appears that NHTSA is investigating these failures.
