I erratically simultaneously receive a warning that adaptive cruise control is inoperative & collision avoidance is inoperative. Both indicate sensor is blocked when it is clearly not the case. Also receive arbitrary collision warnings. Both occur with no other vehicles in the vicinity. The systems works fine most of the time but then the problem appears "out of nowhere". seems to be occurring in all Ford models with adaptive cruise/collision warning. May happen on the interstate or in town. There are hundreds of reports of this condition on the internet. Stopping, shutting down, and restarting will "fix" the problem for an hour or so or maybe even a few days until it occurs again. Again, the sensor is not blocked. I can't find a safety recall or technical service bulletin for this problem.

Ford has a known issue with the master brake cylinder failing in these trucks. Mine has clearly failed due to this issue, and my entire family was nearly killed on the interstate as a result. I took the truck to the dealership and they agree that this is the same master brake cylinder issue that Ford has acknowledged as a known issue. But magically my truck is not included as part of the recall even though its a 2016 Ford F-150 3.5 ecoboost built in Kansas City. All the parameters for the recall seem to match my vehicle precisely but yet somehow it magically is not included in the recall. Ford refuses to take accountability for this major safety issue and now I am out $500 out of my own pocket because Ford refuses to step up and take care of this known safety hazard for me. Ford should be ashamed of themselves and with how many new complaints I see filed here weekly for this same issue the NHTSA should also step up and force Ford to expand the recall because clearly not all affected vehicles have been recalled at this point. I cannot say it enough, this is a major safety concern. Me and my entire family were nearly killed as a result of this issue. It is appalling to me that Ford and the nhsta have not done more to rectify this very dangerous and deadly problem. Next steps I see in the near future is a class action lawsuit against Ford for ignoring this well known issue. This should have never happened and Ford should take accountability for this problem but they are refusing because it isn't part of the "recall". shame on you Ford!

Related to tsb-16-0139. While driving: Hill start assist unavailable message; service advancetrac message. Wrench icon, traction icon, and check engine icon displayed. Truck went into limp mode. Rough idle, would not accelerate until turned off and back on. Dealership diagnosed to replace throttle bodies. Would not cover under extended warranty I believe there may have been a recall on some F150S, but it didn't include my month/year of manufacture, to the best of my knowledge.

Cruise control will not disengage. Driving down highway with cruise control on and when I put foot on brake to slow down, cruise control does not stop and accelerator begins to speed up. Pulled over and had to keep foot on brake as accelerator continued to increase while stopped. Turned off vehicle, did not disengage. Turned off engine again and stomped on gas, break petals. Finally cruise control disengaged.

The truck was set on cruise control when I accelerated to pass a moving vehicle on a freeway. The truck would not stop accelerating when I removed my foot from the gas pedal; I had to break hard to control the speed. As soon as I removed my foot from the break, the car engine revved up again and quickly accelerated from 70 to 96 mph even though I was not touching the gas pedal. When I stopped the vehicle and put the truck in park, the engine continued to idle at a high speed. The diagnostic reader produced the error code "P068A - ECM/PCM power relay de-energized performance - too early". I took the truck to the dealership and they were able to reproduce the problem. To fix the issue, a new battery was installed.

Attempting to accelerate, no power. Vehicle was on 2 lane highway with concrete barriers on both sides and no shoulder. I was going approx 70 mph. I had our toddler, new born and wife in then vehicle. Vehicle slowed faster than I have ever felt before. Cars and trailers slamming on brakes. I'm assuming this did not trigger my brake lights and it was almost dark. So incredibly dangerous not to mention scary. Dash warnings indicated no traction control, hill decent or ABS. Dealer is replacing the throttle body. This was a catastrophic and dangerous flaw.

First time inwas driving in town, flat road no hills going about 35 on a turn, when my truck just stopped accelerating abruptly and was barely creeping along..multiple warning lights starting with hill assist came on. I got to side of road shut truck off and restarted indicators came back, so I started again to take to brother in laws house and it happened again. Called dealer they said take it out see if check engine lights come on. I take off on highway got to about 45 accelerating to 55 and again is just stops abruptly, lights flash again, I have no power no acceleration, only this time I have traffic near me a semi almost took me out because there is no warning when it happens. Check engine ligh comes on. My brother in law notice the temp gauge stayed cold and transmission temp was low, also I wasn't pulling anything at the time so transmission wasn't hot. I baught truck used less than a yr ago and have just over 40K miles on it. I have only pulled a popup camper with it so far. Noticed this seems to be a known problem for this truck. Will be contacting dealer today. I have included photos of warning flights that pop up.

Hill descent control fault/ service advancetrac warning suddenly turned on. Alternated w service light. But I was just driving home from work on a 70 degree day on a dry paved road decelerating from a 40mph zone to a 30 mph zone up a slight incline. I wasn't using hill descent and traction was fine. The disturbing part was the vehicle suddenly ran rough and had no power. I could not get it to run well enough pull it over out of the traffic lane. An on off cycle returned function for a few seconds and I got around the corner before the fault occurred again. With no hills the last block I got to my driveway where a longer off period returned the vehicle to function. This type of sudden power loss could cause an accident.

Truck experienced multiple sensor failures over several months that reset. Failures include car stalling in intersection, blind spot monitoring, back up sensors, car shutting off and turning back on on its own. Car had to be powered down and shut off for 30 seconds before being allowed to restart. Most recent failure resulted in truck horn going off as well as car turning off while going 35-40 mph then restarting on its own - car surged forward after it restarted itself. At the same time hazards coming on, doors unlocking and locking and rear tailgate opening. After bringing car to a complete stop, shut off car and it turned itself back on (horn went off, hazards went on, doors unlocked and locked, and rear tail gate released). Towed to dealership for repairs and they were unable to recreate the problem.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 65 mph, "see service manual, traction control not available, check engine" illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle lost power and the accelerator pedal did not respond. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road to a complete stop as it began to shake. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, all the warning indicators went away and then illuminated again. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. Rich Ford (8601 lomas blvd, albuquerque, nm 87112) was contacted via phone. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 49,500.

As I was driving down a major interstate I94 while changing lanes my 2016 F150 3.5 ecoboost entered limp mode in front of a semi I just recently passed. The semi had to slam on his brakes and I had to swerve to the side of the road to avoid a collision. The service advancetrac and wrench/service light was lit up on the dash. The vehicle would not move. The truck ran but when the gas pedal was pressed the engine sputtered and wouldnt move.

I have a 2016 Ford F150. 4 times now the auto breaking system engaged for no reason. 3 of the times I was driving in cruise control down a straight section of highway 80 going to lake Tahoe, the auto breaking system engaged for no reason while passing a semi truck. The latest auto breaking episode almost killed us, we were driving back from lake Tahoe on hwy 80, (cruise control was not no), when we were passing a semi truck on a curve in the two lane highway going about 70 miles per hour when the auto breaking system engaged for no reason and slowed our truck down form 70 to about 35 miles per hour in just 1-2 seconds....I was not able to override by flooring the accelerator for at least 2-4 seconds....a semi truck behind us came within inches from rear ending us!! this issue needs to be addressed by Ford. Its a huge safety issue!!
