Truck experienced multiple sensor failures over several months that reset. Failures include car stalling in intersection, blind spot monitoring, back up sensors, car shutting off and turning back on on its own. Car had to be powered down and shut off for 30 seconds before being allowed to restart. Most recent failure resulted in truck horn going off as well as car turning off while going 35-40 mph then restarting on its own - car surged forward after it restarted itself. At the same time hazards coming on, doors unlocking and locking and rear tailgate opening. After bringing car to a complete stop, shut off car and it turned itself back on (horn went off, hazards went on, doors unlocked and locked, and rear tail gate released). Towed to dealership for repairs and they were unable to recreate the problem.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 65 mph, "see service manual, traction control not available, check engine" illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle lost power and the accelerator pedal did not respond. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road to a complete stop as it began to shake. When the vehicle was turned off and restarted, all the warning indicators went away and then illuminated again. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. Rich Ford (8601 lomas blvd, albuquerque, nm 87112) was contacted via phone. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 49,500.

As I was driving down a major interstate I94 while changing lanes my 2016 F150 3.5 ecoboost entered limp mode in front of a semi I just recently passed. The semi had to slam on his brakes and I had to swerve to the side of the road to avoid a collision. The service advancetrac and wrench/service light was lit up on the dash. The vehicle would not move. The truck ran but when the gas pedal was pressed the engine sputtered and wouldnt move.

I have a 2016 Ford F150. 4 times now the auto breaking system engaged for no reason. 3 of the times I was driving in cruise control down a straight section of highway 80 going to lake Tahoe, the auto breaking system engaged for no reason while passing a semi truck. The latest auto breaking episode almost killed us, we were driving back from lake Tahoe on hwy 80, (cruise control was not no), when we were passing a semi truck on a curve in the two lane highway going about 70 miles per hour when the auto breaking system engaged for no reason and slowed our truck down form 70 to about 35 miles per hour in just 1-2 seconds....I was not able to override by flooring the accelerator for at least 2-4 seconds....a semi truck behind us came within inches from rear ending us!! this issue needs to be addressed by Ford. Its a huge safety issue!!

I was driving down the highway and my truck completely shut off I managed to pull to the side of the road and got it started again. It did it again down the road. I made it to work hoping that it was just a glitch. It did it again on my way home nearly causing a collision, all the warning lights came on and the truck stated up again. It did it several times and is a big safety concern for me because I have my family in my vehicle most of the time. I did further research and several other people has had the same issue. My question is why Ford has not issue a recall for this problem. Is everyone waiting for it to be a fatality or someone end up seriously injured. Someone needs to address this problem. Thousands of drives safety is at risk because of this

While traveling on interstate at a speed of 80 mph, my 2016 F-150 eco boost with 50,000 miles went into limp mode due to a faulty electronic throttle body causing me to lose the ability to accelerate and worrying for my family's life as I was decelerating on a busy 4 lane freeway trying to find a way to pull over without being smashed.

When driving the vehicle on freeways with adaptive cruise control enabled, if the vehicle approaches a vehicle in an adjacent lane (typically a larger vehicle like a truck with a trailer, semi, or tanker) the collision aid activates and heavily applies the brakes. If someone is following close behind me, as has happened in at least 4 instances, the individual will need to stop and make an emergency maneuver to avoid colliding. In both cases, the braking only lasted momentarily but was enough to reduce the vehicles speed 20-30 mph during that time. The vehicle has been inspected by Ford but they have said that there is nothing that they can do. For the time being, we keep this feature disabled until Ford can get this issue resolved. There have been recalls for previous years but ours is not included. Because of this Ford has said there's nothing they can do on multiple attempts to get the problem resolved.

Almost exactly the same experience as incident numbers 11090030, 11063919, and 11048673. There may be others, but, I didn't go any further. I was driving on a bridge without any safety shoulders and the vehicle suddenly lost all power, "hill start assist not available" indicator came on, "service advance trac" indicator came on, and "see manual" indicator came on with the wrench symbol. After nearly being rear-ended by another car, I was able to coast to an off ramp and pull over. The truck was shaking violently. I shut it off and then restarted it and was able to get back over the bridge but then the same exact scenario happened again on the other side. On the way home, it happened a couple more times but I was able to get it home. I scheduled a service appointment at a Ford dealer to take the truck in on Monday. The vehicle has about 43,000 miles on it. As I mentioned earlier, I was almost rear-ended by another vehicle when this occurred, so, this is an extremely dangerous malfunction.

Driving 60 mph hour and vehicle suddenly lost all power. This happened twice. The vehicle hill decent light and some other warning lights would come on and the vehicle would shake violently. It would then lose all power and I had to coast off to the side, turn the vehicle off, wait 30 seconds, and restart. It would then go about a 1/2 mile and do it again. I purchased the vehicle as a certified vehicle a month earlier. The electronic throttle body has failed. However, the dealership was having issues replicating the issue and they were back ordered on the part.the vehicle has 29500 miles on it. This is dangerous as I could be rear ended. Believe me, if that happens, lawsuits will fly!

While driving on a busy highway with no warning my F-150 lost power. When this happened the drive power decreased by about 95%, and warnings appeared on the dashboard. These warnings included: Service advance trac, hill descent fault, see manual, airbag fault, and the service wrench. The engine idled roughly and the vehicle had to be turned off. We restarted and the same issues occurred so we parked the vehicle.
