I bought this truck at 39000 and immediately needed to have the driver front hub serviced. Tech indicated the IWE (Integrated wheel end) was shot and replaced it under warranty. The IWE went out AGAIN at 48000 miles, this time it also took out the driver side hub, both parts were replaced under warranty.
The truck is not at 49500 with it's 3rd IWE and 2nd hub...I'm not strongly considering keeping the vehicle past its warranty....

Grinding noise could be heard coming from front of vehicle, and could also be felt when accelerating. After a few test drives, the Ford techs were able to determined that both the front right and left wheel hubs needed replacing. Fortunately covered under warranty but unacceptable that this type of issue occurred with so few miles on the vehicle.

Both front hubs trying to engage while in 2 wheel drive. Makes a horrible grinding noise basically tearing up the hubs. Placed in 4 wheel drive and problem goes away. Took it to Ford and they replaced both IWE's, hubs, and vacuum line. Problem was fixed for two weeks and now the problem is back. Taking it back to Ford for repairs again.

2016 F150 4 WD hubs. This problem was fixed the first time by dealer and now it is my problem according to ford. They have a big problem with these trucks and do not help any at all on cost, $3000. Took truck in and they wanted $130 to test drive and tell me what it was and would not agree to knock it off if I let them do the work. I drove truck to VA hospital and noise got worse, called dealer and they said $1500 to repair, agreed to a date, took truck in and it cost me $3000 to get truck back.
Ford needs to admit they designed a piece of crap and at least help with repairs, not charge full retail for their mistake. It seems to me that they should at least wholesale the parts and the dealer should help with labor costs. Another problem is I cannot keep brakes and rotors on it, Ford has put several on and after factory warranty ran out, I have put on 3-4 sets on, needs new brake shoes now on front and rear rotors shake the crap out of truck going down steep hill. I can go on line and find several issues with these problems but the dealers and service reps act like they have never heard anything about these issues.
