This is the third F150 Platinum that I have had running board problems. Everyone one of them had problems with the running boards during the bumper to pumper warranty, but all Ford did was put a bandage on the problem and waited for the warranty to expire. This is obviously a design failure on Ford’s part, but Ford is blaming the environment.
When I took the vehicles in for service and complained about the running boards sticking all they did was grease them and stated that they were fine. Once they were out of warranty the story changed… now Ford would “fix†them for $2,000! What a rip off! My next vehicle will be a RAM!
