The vehicle has a very noticeable vibration at 45 mph coming from the rear end. The vehicle has been into the dealer 6 times now. The mechanic that went on a ride with me stated yes that he' agrees it's there but that there is no fix from Ford yet.

A pedestrian was able to get into the vehicle and stop the acceleration. The vehicle was taken to hemborg Ford (1900 hammer ave, norco, ca), but it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

Vehicle lost all power while accelerating thru an intersection. The orange wrench illuminated on the dash with "check manual". I noticed the transmission not shifting down and up smoothly. It tried to start the truck off in 5th gear from a stop. After being shut down for an hour, the issue went away. Dealer scanned it this morning and said no code was stored.

With the vehicle in park, with the weight of the vehicle resting on the transmission's parking pawl, or resting on the parking brake, when the engine is started, there is an intermittent clunk that can be heard. It can vary from no clunk to a very loud clunk that can be heard from 40ft or more. This can happen when vehicle is hot, cold, driven short distances or long distances, on an incline or not. The 3 dealerships have reproduced the issue, but have called it normal or a characteristic. One dealership's service director says his demo vehicles make the same noise and that adding bigger tires and a lift kit made it worse. He also said and I quote "because its not abnormal, there is no fix". he stated that Ford techline says its normal as well. 4500 miles on vehicle, never towed anything, only normal city/highway driving, no long trips ever taken. Was turning left at intersection and transmission seemed to slip, truck still made it through, I then noticed that a yellow "wrench" light came on, I assumed this was for my upcoming 5K mile oil change. I didn't think much of the "slip" and assumed it was an anomaly. I then got onto the highway and noticed the truck was behaving strangely, power was inconsistent, I attempted to put it into cruise control and it refused to activate. I got off of highway and turned left at an intersection, starting from a complete stop the truck lurched forward and then slipped out of gear and stalled out in the intersection. If a car was coming I would have easily been struck. I let it sit for a few seconds and then the transmission finally got into, and stayed in, first gear. At first it went into gear and then slipped out of gear. This "wrench" light was apparently a limp home mode, another complaint, besides the stalling, would be the fact that this little yellow wrench light does nothing to warn me that the truck is actually in an impaired state, a "limp" mode. I work in the aerospace industry and this would never be tolerated, a function that hampers the normal performance of your vehicle should be easy to recognize as a warning, a little yellow wrench looks like a service light.

Vehicle is presently out of service for it's 3rd repair attempt of the same transmission related non-conformity and has been so for greater than a cumulative 30 days as of 10/4/17. The same safety issues occurred under identical driving conditions multiple times while traveling on the highway. While in motion on the highway at approximately 65 mph the vehicle's 10 speed automatic transmission locked up in 7th gear. At the exact time this defect occurred the 'check engine' alarms and dashboard lights sounded. Thereafter, the vehicle was unable to downshift or upshift from 7th gear no matter what speed. Then vehicle engine stalled completely once maneuvered to an exit ramp and slowed to a point where 7th gear could no longer sustain forward operation. There is a documented 1st repair attempt appearing to be the identical issue but was made prior to my taking possession of the new vehicle. The second occurred on 8/29/17 at 427 miles on vehicle. And the 3rd on 9/14/17 and has been in service through present day. To date repair attempts have included in chronological order: Replacing "all 4 speed sensors to transmission and the transmission internal harness"; replacing "tcm - transmission control module"; and in progress (incomplete) replacing the tcm "harness". the first two repair attempts had zero positive effect on the safety related non-conformity, and the 3rd 'in-progress' still has yet to be completed past the 30 days out-of-service period.

I have been driving for 56 years, when I get out of an automatic vehicle I put it in park even with the motor running. On 4/5, I parked my truck (city government vehicle) motor running, to put raingear in my personal vehicle. I placed the truck in park opened the driver's door, grabbed my jacket and walked to my personal vehicle (15 feet away) and placed the jacket inside. I then walked back to my city truck, opened the passenger door got my rain slicker from the floor board, carried the slicker to my personal car and put it inside. I walked back to the truck, shut the truck's passenger door, walked towards the back of the truck to get to the driver's side. The truck had been completely stationary to this point and at this moment drove itself forward into a parked vehicle in front of it. I was not in the vehicle. Damage to both vehicles was minor. The truck's gear shifter was in "D". a police report was made. One would naturally assume it was driver error and the vehicle was never in park. I too doubted myself until I discovered Ford's recall of 2017 F250 trucks. I make this complaint to you, the NHTSA. A coworker witnessed the entire incident and reported it to the police. The city truck was stationary for over a minute, and after repeated attempts from the exact location of the incident, I cannot leave the vehicle in drive without the truck moving forward...
