2017 Ford F150 5.0V8, drove on interstate for 200 miles and took my exit. Once I started driving in the city/back roads the truck stalled when I came to a stop. This did not occur often, but then August of 2021 pulled into my drive way and when I stopped the truck stalled. When I started it again the check engine light came on. Runner bank 1 stuck open, runner bank 2 stuck closed. Only fix, replace the intake manifold assembly.
In September order the needed part, FL3Z-9424-J, back ordered until October, November, December. Found one at a dealership in MA, Googled Ford Dealers and started calling. Installed December 29,2021 and 5 miles form the shop check engine light came on again. Took it to Autozone to read the code and the truck would not hold an idle long enought to get a reading. On the third attempt success, Runner Bank 1 stuck open.
Contacted the dealer that sold the part, said it was covered under the Over The Counter part warranty. Took the truck to another dealer to have the manifold replaced, back order until the end of January 2022. Started the process again, all said they did not have it, but showed 482 in Detroit. On January 28,2022 dealer calls and said they replaced the manifold and I was good to go. Drove the truck 100 miles and once again, stalls at a light. This time no check engine light. Call a few Ford service dealers and when I told them the check engine light was not on, they seemed to push me off. It is February 11, 2022 and I have an appointment to drop off my truck on the 17th of February to be inspected.

The truck stalled out four times in November. The most dangerous was halfway through an intersection where the power steering froze and there was no warning. I had stopped and looked both ways and that’s when it happened. The other three times I came to a pause or stop intersection or stop sign was still in drive, the engine shut off per usual or per design, but then stalled out completely. iMessage came up that said “Full Accessory power active†I took it to the dealership, they ran a scan, said it was a dead battery.
Charged me for and replaced the old battery. I asked why did the battery light go on? I did not see any warning lights. I had to pay for a rental and the battery about $300. Approximately. Now I’m bringing the truck back in because it happened again and they asked me to bring it in because they said they heard something in the engine and it’s still under warranty. When I looked this up on your site I found many people have the same problem.

When engine warms up and driven, if you come to a stop, the engine will stall. No warning lights, engine idles down to about 4-500 rpm and stops. It has come to the point of having to put in neutral every time I drive it (daily driver & my only vehicle). Dealer said no codes, no problem. It did not happen to them. I would fix it myself, if I knew what to do. Anyone have any ideas?

My Ford F-150 5.0 with 78k miles was driving fine and out of nowhere, after a 40 mile highway drive, I get to a stop light and the engine completely turned off. No check engine was displayed or any warning lights on the dash other than a notification saying “press on brake to startâ€. I did just that and turned on right away like nothing ever happened. Then I drove for another 20 miles and exactly the same thing happened again. I’ve read quite a few forums in which many customers had the same problem and dealers cannot recreate the problem therefore no solution until it is recreated. I am still dealing with my local dealership on getting this resolved.

2017 Ford F-150 Lariat stalls out at stop light... It's happened over 6 times... Looking for a recall. Are anyone else having this problem???

Once again, the truck dies in intersection, throws a bunch of codes and will do absolutely nothing 45 miles from home. I call dealer and make them aware and call wrecker.
After 40 minutes driving to pick wife up and wait for tow, she calls me 3 miles from her and said the truck started. The truck ran fine and no one can explain it because the truck will not store codes as it should. Hmm could this be a problem? Evidently not to ford...

The truck just died in intersection - it threw a bunch of different codes and would not do anything. We had truck towed to dealer. The truck did not store any of the codes as it should so they could only come up with a bad battery so $400 should fix it they say. We will see.

I think the issue actually started before my last oil change but I just noticed recently in colder weather. I would get to a light or after a lot of stop and go traffic after being on the highway and idle, the engine would drop then shoot up and then die. If I am behind other traffic I can see my lights start to dim but it has never thrown a code to be able to check. It is causing noticeable mpg loss.
I plan on taking it in ASAP.

2017 F150 with 61,000 miles stopped dead like out of gas on highway. Will start and sputter for a few seconds, again like a fuel problem. Towed to dealer. I don't as yet know the fix.

Came to a complete stop. Hadn't noticed engine stall until trying to move forward. Restarted engine and drive away. High humidity (Fog)

Engine stalled 4 times total over 2 days while at a stop light and once while in park. This occurred after highway driving using cruse control. RPM's would drop to 500 or slightly below, and you could feel the truck vibrate. This truck does not have an auto off / start feature. No check engine light came on, no lights for that matter every time this happened. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but these are the facts.
Truck was took in to the dealer where purchased and was in for most of the day(7:30 check in til 5pm). 2 recall items were repaired (Campaign # 17S33 Door latch shields - and Campaign # 18S27 carpet shielding). EEC Diagnosis found - No Stored Codes. Road test while monitoring found EVAP Test Failure. They replaced the canister purge valve and reset KAM. Retest verified EVAP test - Pass. Part # AU5Z-9C915-B / Valve ASY Y. Now I have only had my truck back for a day, so I'll update in a few weeks or if problem returns sooner. fingers crossed.
2017 F150 XLT, 5.0, 6sp trans. Shadow Black.
Update from Oct 22, 2018: 10/22/18. Update. Engine RPM dropped again several times today with normal local driving (no highway). Truck stalled twice, once in park and once pulling into my garage. Both times truck was near or in idle. Back to the dealer it goes. Updates to come...
Update from Feb 19, 2020: Truck finally threw a code and engine light. Dealer ended up replacing driver side camshaft sensors. Warranty- this is a late update. No issues since. Totally fixed the issue.

Started vehicle in parking lot and it began violently shaking. Check engine light came on, and (as far as I can remember) "Service Auto Trac" message displayed. Car would remain idled, but would not accelerate past idle. Pushing accelerator had no effect. Restarted twice, and problem disappeared. Haven't had chance to take it in yet, but scares me for future long trips. God forbid it happened on a highway while traveling at speed. Plan on taking it in to dealer ASAP. Had a similar issue many years ago w/ a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ended up being an electronic/ fuel injection issue. Horrible that this occurred w/ only 6k miles :(

Again this truck stops while driving, blows the same fuse, towed to dealership, they now replaced fuse with a 7.5 amp but still gives no reason why. will not advise what the #18 fuse controls. In manual states ignition. Now have removed all equipment from the vehicle. this is one of 25 ford f150 we have on site and this is the XLT loaded with the problem.

Same thing again fuse #18 5 amp fuse blown, truck totally shuts down, towed to dealer again. they replaced fuse says nothing is wrong. they refused to upgrade the fuse. they will not give me a wiring diagram of what the fuse controls. No body wants to drive the vehicle.

After being told the first incident was due to a "Frozen Cracked" Battery, the very next day the same EXACT thing happened. The truck went totally BLACK while driving! Still no answer or solution from Ford Service.... They should be happy my 16 year old was not driving the truck, either of the two times this occurred....if he was....there would be some serious repercussion!

Brand new Limited Model that I paid a lot of money for. Died on the road and wouldn't do anything. Not even get out of gear. Had to have it towed back to dealer. I was only able to drive it for 19 days before this happened. I have been waiting now for 8 days and counting to get my truck back. Dealer says he doesn't know how much longer I will have to wait to get my truck back. It's just sitting on his lot while I start making payments.
Update from Aug 23, 2017: Now its been 26 days...still waiting

IT'S A BIG PROBLEM, FORD NEEDS TO RECALL THESE TRUCKS AND FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME. WHEN SOMEONE ASKS ME HOW I LIKE MY F150 I TELL THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM, AND TELL THEM TO BUY A CHEVY, OR A RAM TRUCK,
