Although my truck only had 31k it was a month beyond the 5 yr warranty period so I had to pay for the repair out-of-pocket. The failure code was P2007, which is the left bank stuck open/closed on an Intake manifold runner control.
I first took it to the dealership. They estimated the repair cost at between $1600-$1750. However, since the supply chain was so messed up, they had no idea when they could actually get a new part. Since the failure didn't really affect how the truck drove, I would have waited for the new part however, it wouldn't pass the inspection without the repair, so I had no choice but to have it fixed with a used part.
The shop I chose was willing to install the used part I found and still offer me a 12 months/12k mile warranty, so that's what I decided to do.

Just didn't want to pay to have it fixed. Caused a loss of power for the V8.

I never expected to have to replace intake manifold at 50K but I did. It's annoying to own what is supposed to be a highly rated pickup and find out that they cut corners and made the manifold out of plastic for this year.

Ford diagnosed and repaired at no cost. I had a CEL. This was supposed to fix a stalling/idle issue, but after the install the stalling/idle issue continued.

Check engine light on, brought in performed diagnostics. Intake manifold needs to be replaced along with other parts. ( $3,000 ) Ford dealer can not get the part for 4 or more months no guarantee on that.
