First event: While I was driving back from the countryside on a two way road ' single lane -, I overtook a big truck on an uphill area, and all the sudden my truck died. Lost all the power and I had to make an emergency maneuver to avoid the big truck I was overtaking and also the car that appeared at the curve ahead. It was close. I almost crashed. After calmed me down, I step out of the truck, opened the capot while the engine was idling and making this huge 'valve' noise. I took my phone and recorded a video. Some component on a side of the valve cover was moving and making that noise and all the sudden, I smelled gas, looked down the scape manifold and saw gas all over it. I ran back to the cabin and turned the engine off, took the extinguisher and ran back to the capot. Fortunately nothing happened. Second event: While driving on the highway, with the cruise control on at 120 km/H, on a pretty flat area, the gear shifted from 10 to 7 with no reason at all, and I felt like the truck started to activate the brakes. The highway was clear in front of me. No car or obstacles were near the front of the truck. Seconds after that, the engine started to fail, dropping the rpms like those old mechanical carburetor stuck with a dirt and suddenly, all got back to normal. Fortunately was almost reaching the toll control to access to my city. So I slowed down to 50 kms/H, put my foot on over the brakes and started to press it very gentle. Suddenly and with no warning, the truck sped up itself full gas and I had to Dodge a car that was in front of me driving on the line to the toll and press the brake pedal very hard. Several lights invaded the dashboard; low coolant, check engine, the dash board dimmer light and others that I couldn't saw on this fast flash of lights. It was like the cpu was crazy. After that, truck went back to normal, but several obd2 errors got stored.

Self-parking feature backed my vehicle into a large boulder beside my truck while parking. If it had been a person beside my truck, they could have been seriously injured or killed. While accelerating to pass slow vehicle, I pulled back in lane and attempted to slow down but the accelerator was stuck and continued to accelerate up to 70 mph before I heard it release and then the truck slowed. Within 20 minutes I accelerated again and once again the pedal stuck and continued to accelerate without foot pressure.

This is a brand new truck I have purchased about 3 weeks ago. I have noticed some strange behavior of the accelerator pedal, I had an impression that sometimes it was getting a bit stuck or changed the position on its own. Today I have discovered by myself that the accelerator pedal assembly is completely loose, all 3 bolts are not torqued at all, I could turn them with my bare fingers. This explains the strange behavior I observed. Last week I complained to the dealer about the rough downshifting, they did a test drive (!) and found nothing wrong. I have made a video, I hope it will better explain the nature of the problem: Https://youtu.be/B9ijtdtdqya I definitely consider this a safety issue and I suspect Ford does not have adequate quality control to ensure that the accelerator assembly is installed correctly. I am going to see the dealer tomorrow morning.
