No warning lights the entire time vehicle kept down shifting and upshifting. Stopped vehicle in 87seconds or so to find safe pull off area. Little oil on dip stick. Refilled oil I.E. 3qts low. Coolant good? Who knows? Let things cool down for around 30 plus minutes. Went to start and no start. NOTHING. A good citizen lent us his portable jumper box. After several attempts it final started. I shut engine down ASAP!! Lifters knocking out of control. Towed to Ford dealership. Three days later informed that motor was blown. After reading recalls and know it was caused by the transmission. I ask the service department if there were any recalls. ANSWER? NONE. My insurance company was no help in knowing any recalls, plus I didn't see needing additional coverage on this vehicle. Need a starting point on this. Over $10 thousand to replace due to transmission failure.
Update from Sep 13, 2025: I'm at a standstill on this issue. But AS GOD IS MY WITNESS, this is the same situations as those recalls in the past. Is there any state or government agency I can file this complaint to? If so. can I get the information from CARCOMPLAINTS.COM. My residence address and phone number: Bobby Tigert 137 6th Street. Cordova, North Carolina 28330
Thank you,

Update from Nov 1, 2025: 2017 Ford F150 STV transmission down shifted to 2nd gear going 50 mph. Pulled over within 87 seconds. Let vehicle cool down, checked the radiator fluid, (Excellent). Checked engine oil level and found it to be 3 qt's low. Put three qt's in engine and gave 5m to 10m to settle. Checked once again and it was full, had to have it jump started. Once it started the valves began knocking metal to mental sound. Had towed to Ford Dealership. Several Days later picked-up paperwork. Motor was blown, metal in engine and now was 1qt over on oil. Of course it had metal shavings in it. Looked for history on Ford F150's and there had been thousands of recalls. My VIN did not match VIN recalls, but my 2017 Ford F150 had same issues. I.E. transmission failure and some engines blew-up .
