The transmission slips and jumps into different gears while driving. When applying the accelerator from a stop the truck will not move due to it being in 7th gear, when it finally decides to move it shifts hard jolting the truck. The electric driver seat moves around, it is not stable.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the automatic cruise control would not operate as needed. He stated that while in automatic cruise control mode, the vehicle would accelerate without warning with a stopped vehicle ahead of him. The contact also mentioned that the driver's front seat would slide backwards without warning while driving at various speeds. The contact had taken the vehicle to corwin Ford nampa (5707 E gate blvd, nampa, id 83687) where he was informed that the mechanic was unable to detect any failures with the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the same information as the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 11,000.

I have a broken driver side bucket seat on my 2018 Ford F-150 XLT with console I paid extra for this seat (higher priced option) when I purchased new 2 years ago. I called Ford dealer I purchased from they advised to have it fixed at local dealer due to 200 mile drive to them. I took to alton blakely Ford sales and service somerset ky for repair and the service department stated that it was normal wear not covered under warranty or recall. The seat is not worn it looks new! the truck looks and runs perfect, the seat frame is problem! I weigh 235lbs and 6 foot" the seat is broken to appoint that I don't trust wearing shoulder seat belt due to when seat falls back I can't pull myself up to steer. The problem can be felt 1 to 70 mph road or parking lot. Random seat failure while in operation and if seat fails and driver hits brakes the seat belt locks you down. I've repaired it but the ones we meet on road could fail anytime! Ford states no recall on this? it is listed on this government website as a recall" I've purchased seven new Ford since 1980= never again!

Driver seat back sometimes falls back into rear seat area causing driver to loose steering control while driving. I have remedied this by holding steering wheel firmly at all times. The truck is just 2 years old but mileage exceeds warranty coverage. I have drove exclusively from new to now at 40,000 miles and my weight is 227lbs and 6 foot tall. The seat back fails at random times. Parking lot or 70mph interstate road. The seat belt which works properly will compound problem by holding you from pulling back up to steering / driving position if you apply brakes at instant of seat falling back! at about 20,000 miles I felt and did hear a spring break in lower cushion seat. I purchased a cushion at that time to remedy that weak seat problem. This is the XLT model very disappointed in quality of 39,000 dollar truck that now has safety issue from cheap seat back failure.

The transmission will twist the driveshaft at startup, stationary, and cause the rear end to pop very loudly. I've shown Ford engineering a video of it, I was told that it was normal. I've never heard of a vehicle doing this before. There is a rattling sound on deceleration, loudest when the engine is cold and lessons or maybe even goes away after warmed up. The engine was replaced earlier this year because of an oil consumption issue. The truck has memory power driver's seat and power mirrors that should go into place depending on the key fob that it detects. Randomly both side mirrors will start moving and popping before going back into position. This always occurs before the vehicle is started. I've noticed that it is usually when it detects the key fob or when I use the fob for some function. The seat randomly doesn't go into the memory position at startup.

We got into an accident over the weekend. We were T-bones by a bus. It wrecked the passenger side of the car. However, when I went into the passenger side to get my purse out I noticed that there were flames coming from the side of the drivers seat. Our F150 is now burnt to a crisp. There's no reason for that truck to have caught fire like that.

Have already contacted your organization (11129828) but need to add some new information I have discovered. This truck was involved in a side swipe accident on 9-16-2018. All airbags were deployed. About 5-10 minutes after the wreck the inside of the truck was on fire. The fire department was called and put the fire out. At that time the fireman stated they felt the airbag on the drivers side had started the fire. Upon looking at the truck yesterday, I could see that it was really the seat back of the drivers seat that burned the most. At the time of the fire, the truck was not running and was still sitting in the spot it came to rest in after the accident.

The contact owned a 2018 Ford F-150. While the contact's vehicle was idling at a stop sign, another vehicle fishtailed and crashed into the rear driver's side of the contact's vehicle. The impact turned the contact's vehicle 90 degrees. Only the side air bags deployed. Within minutes, the other driver noticed flames inside the contact's vehicle. The contact stated that the fire was at the rear base of the driver's seat. Within a couple of minutes, the wind caused the entire vehicle to become engulfed in flames. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. Police and fire reports were filed. There were no injuries. The contact called velde Ford at 888-221-2804 (located at 2200 N 8th St, pekin, il 61554) and reported the failure, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000.

I have 2018 Ford F150 raptor edition and have had nothing but issues with it since purchasing the vehicle in November of 2017 brand new. Currently the engine is blown and it has been in and out of service for over 118 days since purchase.I was driving on the expressway, first day after getting truck back from 28 day service and the engine oil pressure light came on again which is why it was in service. I called the dealer and Ford and they advised to keep driving until they heard back from the Ford hotline. A week or so later it was broke down smoking on the side of the highway. In addition there have been numerous other problems.

June 21, 2018 we were driving down hwy 1 bypass in forrest city, ar and were hit on the driver's side, passenger door and gas tank area. The truck took the impact well and we spun 180 degrees to the opposite side of the road. The side and curtain airbags deployed and my two small children in the back seat were unharmed, including the one whose door took most of the impact. My hip was injured from the air bag that deployed from the back of my seat. As I was sitting in the seat immediately following the accident calling 911, the seat began smoking. I tried to exit out of the driver's side door and it was jammed. Smoke continued to get thicker and smelled like an electrical/plastic burning smell. I then had to crawl over the center console and exit through the front passenger door. At that point, thick black smoke was coming from my seat and the left side of the cab began to burn. The actual impact damage to my vehicle would not have totaled it out, but the fire, smoke, and water damage from the fire being put out, did. I have also filed a case with Ford Motor Company, as I believe this was a mechanical/electrical defect in the vehicle. Had we not been able to exit the vehicle, my entire family would have died from this fire, not the impact of the accident. From observations from the police, fire department, wrecker service, and my husband who is a mechanic, they believe that the fire was ignited when the air bags deployed. I did have heated seats, and the vehicle was clearly on when I was hit and the air bags deployed.
