Traveling from Colorado to Missouri on Friday the 13th coming home from vacation. 2018 2.7 ecoboost pulling 5K camper.
Started having issues with 2018 F150 in Kansas when exiting for gas and coming to a stop. The truck would stall the Auto Stop/Start (ASS) would need to be reset. Could not start engine immediately. The transmission gauge would read "C". After 5-10 minutes, we got back on the road (cool down?) It took many tries to get started. The engine restart had a rough idle and I was able to rev up and get into gear.
The truck stall issue happened again in Hays Kansas and we called Ford Assist and got to a dealer where they ran codes and decided to disable ASS. Got back on road and it happened again in Abilene KS.
Finally I hacked things and figured out it may be the idle when the engine is hot and was able to come to a stop in Neutral keeping revs on the idle then shifting. This got us home.
Not happy or like the untrusted towing experience. I will visit my Dealer on Monday. I will check back with updates.

Happened only while towing a 18' Camping Trailer across country. Could have been dangerous in bumper to bumper traffic jams on the interstate. Managed to keep the truck running by keeping the engine at above 3000 rpm when coming to a stop (not easy to do).
